Melee is the worst bullshit ever in poe
Answering one last time to this OT nonsense, because you just don't seem to get it.
" I don't need better gear to progress levelwise. I would need really expensive gear to have a feeling of item progression. That's two completly different things. And they don't contradict each other. I can play 78 maps with such a torso: But I would rather wear one like this: ...because that's item progression. Next step would be a 6L LC with perfect stats, and suddenly, I'd have to pay double the price... for such little return? And once you reached a certain point, stuff gets really, really expensive, for very little actual benefit. Too expensive for my taste, so I rather stop thinking about item upgrades. Same as levels take too long for my taste, so I rather stop and start a new char. It's a pure decision of "how do I want to waste my time?". Playing with LEGO as a child, I was never interested in playing with it, I was only interested in building. In PoE (and many other ARPGs), it's the same. I have a build idea, I try it, I fail, I try again, this time it works, I find/buy some stuff, progress, find/buy really cool stuff, it works even better, I test it against the hardest shit I find, fun lasts a couple days, and then, if it stands the test, I feel "I got there". Job done. Next one. 3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519 Dernière édition par Peterlerock#5171, le 30 déc. 2014 à 05:24:50

" Im sorry, but I cannot gear better then 75% allres. And when sinle Evangelists with "only" one additional damage mod "deal additional XX damage as YYY Elemental damage start hitting 1,5k per hit onto 5k armor base b4 buffs/75 res, then a pack of them, magic with more affixes, who singlehandly TRUCK you for 2k - 3k per hit through your res and IC, then there is no me not playing not optimal. Because the only thing, bringing RES flask for the added Element, would not help much at all if 5-10 Evangelists start casting their shit onto you 2 - 3 hitting you through all your res/def and HP pool. This is pure BS, and not even ranged have it better there (although ondars / Acro/phase Acro helps TONS). Shit like that has to go. http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1158669

" Yeah, I understand there are some streamers or some other players who haven't gotten to 95+ and yet they know what they are doing and what they are talking about, but more often I run into guys who stopped leveling because they started dying and said: "This is too much like work... fuck this shit, I'm done leveling." I'm just saying that this kind of player doesn't have my attention concerning anything (whether it's about melee or anything else). P.S. - It's not easy to "cheese it" to level 100 either. " I think Etup said smth about the avarege maps needed fro 90 to 100. And that was being 750~ 78s Maps run without dying. GL with that. http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Experience You need as many XP from 90 to 100 as you need from 0 to 90. AND THEN SOME for the diminishing returns every level. Im at the same "get to 85 -90" boat, then perfect gear as far as it is fun, then go for another build. I would never do the boring ass grind-the-same-2-maps over and over again for weeks. Not worth it for me. http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1158669

" And I find it boring to play the quest portion of the game (with its three difficulties) over and over again. Getting a build to level 90 is easy. The game starts at level 90 in my eyes. Different strokes for different folks. P.S. - I don't like having to continually start from scratch over and over again. I have done it enough times already with every class. I am done with that. The marauder is my favorite class and I found a build that I enjoy playing. I have had to adjust it every time a new patch of nerfs came out and it's getting to the point where melee is becoming so shitty to play that I want to uninstall now. However, I won't do that until I feel I have conquered this game. However, even after I hit 100, I will probably still stay for the little guild I promised I would be there for. " How exactly, the life and block changes i'll address below. " Unless you were using a koams heart before then life is pretty much in the same spot in terms of getting the same amount out of the tree. Hell it makes uniques like belly actually good. In regards to block, block is simply overpowered. They tried to adjust the skill tree to make some block nodes cater more for those 1 hander + shield combos, but leaving so many nodes on the tree (like 1.2) was a huge mistake. Block is the best form of damage mitigation (aside from offscreening, which one can argue might be better, but i'd disagree as reflect can kill you offscreen and you can't always offscreen everything) " Fantastic, I love hearing that people will continue to play their "nerfed" or "useless" builds afterwards, it means they are persistent. https://youtu.be/T9kygXtkh10?t=285

" Highlighted the portion illustrating why your opinion is not at all relevant in discussions involving character survivability (IE, all melee discussions). my evasion is so high i only insta rip sometimes ----- Bug Fixes: People were using cyclone for actual melee builds, so we nerfed it and made blade vortex. Also, we went ahead and made cyclone great for CoC casters while we were at it. Dernière édition par Legatus1982#1658, le 30 déc. 2014 à 12:01:11

" Don't play in HC can't have an opinion of the game. LOL Lets just make it if you don't spend over $500 on the game you aren't allowed to have an opinion. Its not like dying in SC leagues really affect players or anything. as for @iamstryker Technically melee hasn't always been inferior or not looked that way at least. In closed beta they didn't have perm allocation, which meant being in melee gave you a better chance to get your items. BoR was better, which made having a build that used a 6 link for cheap good. Quite a few changes like new skill gems (spec throw, flameblast, arc, ect) have all been added\buffed to make melee skills less desirable. Still haven't heard a single way to fix melee just random ideas that work in other ARPG's that won't work in PoE. https://youtu.be/T9kygXtkh10?t=285 FeelsBadMan Remove MF from POE, make juiced map the new MF. " Well, GGG already added an inherited mechanic to dual wielding a while back that started to improve melee. "Dual Wielding automatically grants 10% More Attack Speed, 20% More Attack Physical damage and 15% Block Chance." Now we just a bit more buff for dual wielding's inherited mechanic, add one-hand melee weapon's inherited mechanic, add two-hand melee weapon's inherited mechanic. As for the defensive portion, Energy Shield (just having 1 ES, you already gain the mechanic) already grants a 50% chance to avoid being stunned as long you have ES up. Evasion also gives a chance to avoid taking critical strikes from attacks. Armor is just......armor, so this one needs a unique inherited mechanic like the other two defense type. These inherited mechanics have been here for a while now, but this is something GGG can do to improve upon melee characters. Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.
