Realistically how bad are the counter attack gems going to be?

These plus a claw with life on hit and possibly linked with life on hit gem could provide some quick healing in combat.

I just hope they make them active proc, like D3 had with Revenge, one of my favorite barb skills. It allowed barb to be quite tactical with the positioning and skill execution because you could decided when to proc it and heal back to full health. Plus add more crit chance.

Very bad, worthless probably. Just don't use them, ever. They will be useless. You now reject their existance. You will never use them.
But being serious for like a second, can we stop with the bullcrap until we see the actual notes or the skills in action? Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
