Realistically how bad are the counter attack gems going to be?
" This. I was hoping that those counterattack gems would be more than trigger CWDT gems... If i see anywhere on that gem the "reserves x mana" or deals "x amount of dmg" (x < 100% of dmg) or even "attacks single target" i will lose every hope for melee. I am really bored with mages/archers but since they are the only thing viable in this game (cast on crit aside) i might have to play one again... |

My disappointment coming from expectation that counter attack skills would be something, that allows me to actively participate in defending myself. We've got automated attack skills instead. I definitely want to try these skills and I think it will be popular at the end.
But as being said, there is some serious imbalance between melee and range and these skills solves nothing. Especially desync is killing melee builds, when many people experience gameplay as a broken game. |

A side point: did Curse on Hit start working with totems at some point? I played with it when came out and it didn't work with totems/traps/mines.
Edit: I'm having a go at melee first to see how well it can be done with the new changes. I'm hoping Vengeance + Melee Phys Dmg + Stun + Endurance Charge on Melee Stun is possible so I could get ECoMS off of my AoE attack and have self sustaining charges while clearing packs.
