What is up with Item Quantity gem? Is it bye-bye?

So, am I understanding this correctly? IIQ gems will stop dropping, but gems that's already there, will be left alone?

We're talking standard here.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

What GGG wants to do with that change:

Step 1: Make you mad about legacy and shit
Step 2: Make you realize that there is a new League every 4,5 month with no legacy items
Step 3: Make you play those leagues

4 months... 4 months, and then start over for another 4 months. If you don't like the legacy itens then play the new leagues for 4 months. Ok, but this is an ARPG and it should take years for character development... GGG with legacy items has turned it into decades.

This round of another series of nerfs, the players that leave will not be coming back... who want to compete with the PoE mafia? (don't pull the D3)

I have an idea, they are going to make IIQ legacy, DON'T. Leave IIQ on the gear and let it still roll. Change the mechanic of it so it does not apply to gear. That means IIQ will have more orbs/gem drops and IIR will have more rares and unique items drops.

GGG don't made PoE a ghost town

Going from open beta nerfs to release was one thing, but doing more nerfs to items instead of changing the mechanics of the way thing work is going to kill the new player base... it will be "fuck this I can't make it to the top, I will find a new game where I can."

You are right, this game is not for me then. If I didn't have to work 6-10 hours a day, well then your 'hahahaha' are accepted.
Plus another 7 IIQ gems just in this account

Don't feel like logging over to my other to show off

Edit: I hope you notice my gloves are Aurseize and not Sadima's Touch. I prefer IIR over IIQ, I just hate legacy item's even if I own them.

What is wrong with legacy items? If you dont like them then all you have to do is not use them, what other people have shouldnt matter.

If you are playing in the permanent leagues to compete with other people then you are doing something terribly wrong, as has already been said, it is about enjoyment.

How are you going to compete in a permanent league where people already have reached the level cap & have a full set of perfect items, are you also going to remove their perfect items because the IIQ/IIR they used helped them obtain these? Removing the gem wont make any huge difference since people have already received the benefits from them.

If you 'MUST' have one & getting more loot is how you enjoy the game then all you have to do is buy an IIQ gem once its legacy (or go get one now for free/from a quest/from your stash). Even if it costs you 1ex its still easily obtainable, since people will be stashing them forever...

The best thing about IIQ as a legacy item is that it has no effect on PVP, so the single argument that I agree on for not having legacy items has no merit in this case.

EDIT: On a related note I sell IIQ gems really cheap in my exclusive shop. Please do not visit my shop if you are not famous, I sell exclusively to top players / famous people such as Prince Harry or Krip. I am like the Abercrombie & Fitch of PoE.
