I was actually going to start a study on this, but I could never come up with the proper sample size.

Say, you exercised unique drop procedure n=1000 times and
got 5 uniques (with probability p=0.005).

95% CL interval is 1.96*sqrt(p*(1-p)/n) = 0.0044

which is not much

if probability of dropping unique got silently nerfed to say 0.004,
you need MUCH MOAR measurements to distinguish values.

In other words,

if p=0.001, n=25000(!) gives CL 95% interval is only ~0.0004.

That's not true. D3 had a bunch of kids with conspiracy theories. Devs have no reason to do "ninja nerfs". If they want to nerf something they state it.

Wut? Of course they would for anything not easily demonstrable if it was in their interest. That's the basis of public relations, never say more than you need if it deserves your image.

Im failpatrol's friend. I am the one that was talking to him about it this morning on skype.
I told him that I made nearly 50 run of dominus since the recent patch and have had about 2 unique. I speed run in domination with 178 IIR and 37 IIQ, I usually drop one every 3 to 5 run if not 2 or 3 in a single run. That is based on using over 3000 scroll of wisdom at dominus since this past weekend, before the patch. He told me he had the same thing going and thought about asking on the forum to see if anyone else would agree.
