edit: Go watch any known streamer for POE. They do all of the things I just listed besides multiboxing and never get banned.

not true. Id actually say *most* well known streamers do none of these things besides maybe macro binding /oos

I would say macro binding and screen overlay are the biggest ones that are constantly being used.

If you read Chris' post:

Chris a écrit :
Any macro that performs more than one action is bannable, as is anything that sends it based on a timer.

It's fine to have a button that causes /oos, or /remaining or casts an aura, but having a timer to repeat actions or a macro to cast all your auras is not allowed. This is because these are things that normal players cannot do *snip*

He says pretty clearly that macros cannot:
- Perform more than one action
- Be on a timer

Now as for a bot that performs one action or one macro at a time consistently, that would probably take some work. Would it be banned? I would assume they'll deal with that when they get there.

So anything that can be regarded as a timer is a timer. Good to know.

A true POE bot can exist if it does one macro for one action and reacts to the game information/pixels rather then plays the game from a timer/recorded actions . This would not create these conditions
- Perform more than one action
- Be on a timer

Now a program that does that might be a pipe dream for today but it is actually possible(it can be done in python)....

scripted/timer'ed /oos chat should NOT prohibited. It does not give any unfair game advantage to player other than less desync, which is serious defect of PoE. It does not annoy or hinder other players any way.

Yes, it does. It creates more desync for everyone else, and more cost for GGG.

This is interesting to me. I have heard complaints in game from people about," Is someone spamming /oos?!!?" Apparently causing noticeable descends with the server. Now what happens if "everyone" had a /oos script and starting spamming it non stop. What will happen then?

A chicken script that reads screen pixels is going to be hard for GGG to regulate. That being said, I get confused watching people obviously use it when it would not seem to be allowed. It may be a minor concern at this point for GGG. They do have other things on their plate.

If GGG make logout outside of town non-instant (like in D3 or WoW), then this script becomes useless. You will certainly be killed for a few seconds required to log out.

In mmorpgs like wow this is common. Honestly this(non-instant logout) is one of d3 worst decisions IMO besides the auction house bs. This is what made d3 not d2. PoE is like d2. Dam near everything in d2 is in poe except a few things.

If this was changed I wouldn't play this game just like d3....

Yea, it's a weird topic for GGG it seems. They seem to be fine with chickens, which doesn't really go along with their design philosophy. I understand commands like /oos /itemlevel /remaining, but just can't see how they allow some of these scripts.

If they are ok with " chickens" they better revert the changes to the alt+f4 .

Uhhh... You mean the screen overlay that is built in to the streaming software? That is always used for streaming because it gives them themes or whatnot for their stream, it's not actually for their gameplay, it's for their viewers. They can't see the overlay unless they tab over to the streaming software and check that, which is a very small window.

But yes, I have seen most streamers use macros a lot, whether they be to log out instantly or spam the different trade channels.

Why not throw more server hardware into the server farm?

Imagine that everyone does timer'ed /oos automatically in every 10 secs by the PoE client itself. GGG will put more servers to handle the increased load from the periodic /oos. All players will get less desync. Desync problem solved, or at least, greatly improved.

With some moderate investment of GGG, the worst problem of PoE will be put under ontrol at last. Less desync means more player will enjoy PoE and satisfied. Better customer satisfaction will lead to increased player population and more revenue for GGG. GGG will earn more money and the money can be invested to buy more servers. GGG will get rich. Everyone will be much happier.

/oos were once disabled due to abuse from players. Don't make GGG disable it again.

The only reason that GGG will disable oos is increased server load (and so the cost).

Don't play cheap on server investment in doing online game business. It is the least expensive investment to solve the worst problem of PoE and greatly improve customer satisfaction.

I made an overlay that forces the image to be on top POE at all times. I did this because I was unaware that the integrated twitch feed had this ability. Now that I know it does I can drop this program... Its pretty much just a python script that loads an image with a transparent background to the location you want. just be careful where the true location/mouse location is at.
