New Unique Wand: Void Battery Theory Craft
necroing this thread
so if you dual wield, you get 2 power charges but only 25%, NOT 50%, spell dmg / charge? The 25% / charge mod is like a skill tree passive and doesnt stack with having 2 of them? That means the total spell dmg of dual wielding 2 perfect VB's would be 25x9 = 225% +40 -160 105% spell damage ... ok add the 2 extra charges x 2% from skill tree passive ... 109% lel, thats like less than a perfect dmg rare wand (128% --> 20% / 74% / 34%) ... its funny that dual wielding this wand is inferior to having just one of it. One of these wands + shield / rare wand is superior to another wand + shield or another 2 rare wands, but dual wielding it is not compared to 2 rare wands or VB + rare wand or VB/rare wand + shield. Also look at the crit chance per wand ... 115% .... a rare wand can get 109%, cast speed 20% vs rare wand 22% is it worth paying all these exalts for this wand? Mhm.... I dont think so.
Let me explain. I was playing Dual Wield Void battery with discharge. Now i can say: DONT DO THIS My DPS with all Charges was about 75000-80000 and only level 18 gem. But only with all Power Charges. (9) Ok you will do insane dmg, but if you will meet some reflect, you will be 100% one shot if the lightning dmg roll is high enough. Now I switched back to my old setup: Dual Divinarius with second weapon slot: Divinarius + ES Shield and Im happy. The Damage is not the same about 40000-45000, but I never will one shot myself again. And the worst I can tell you: If you dont have any Power Charges, you will be doing zero dmg. So... This wand will be OP as Totem Build but complete worthless as Discharge. |

" You could just get fewer offensive passives, use fewer supports and/or use a lower level skill gem until the damage comes down to a sensible level. I don't think 'too much damage' is ever a serious problem if you spec sensibly around it. |

" i forgot about discharge build getting most of its base dmg from power charges xD with all due respect though, are you a noob? slot EK and use it vs reflect. dont tell me you get one shot offscreen, pay attention, reflect aura is easy to spot, and discharge doesnt have an entire screen range. once its in range, its in range. you spot it, you switch. EK gets benefits from crit and spell dmg like any other spell. ez .... just get EK + iron will + increase crit dmg + chance, or put it on totem etc. oh and i dont think the difference between 7 and 9 charges is that huge, discharge will still one shot 90% of content with 7 charges as it does with 9. especially with blood rage and warlords mark, lel
They can always make a loser league where Monsters do no damage and you one shot everything. I'm confused; I thought that Increased and Reduced were not additive with each other.
And if that is the case, you need 400% increased damage to cancel out 80% reduced damage ie (1 + 4)x(1 - 0.8) = 1 Some people seem to be implying that they are additive in this thread. |

" yes they are theres more and less, multiplicative and increased and reduced, additive
They can always make a loser league where Monsters do no damage and you one shot everything. Goodness, people, just don't play in the hard parts of the game if you cant handle them.
Come on NOW...
I haven't seen a statement saying that it is 100% sure that you get 25% OR 50% spell damage per power charge if you dual wield these babies. Please?! (Before I buy 2 of them and realize it wasn't worth it) :-/ IGN: Hydralin
