Sexy females

As everyone else says, there is no reason for this not to be implemented when the Shop goes "live" for real. This could also be merged with the "ability to choose gender"-suggestions.

There's an excellent reason not to do this.

I've quite a few female gamer friends. Many of them get extremely offended at the absurd over-sexualization of female characters in games. Several of them refuse to even play games which do that.

It's something that game developers do, frankly, to pander to the younger male crowd. It often (though not always) annoys older players, and more often (though not always) deeply offends women. It's sexist and offensive.

I wouldn't quit playing the game if they added stuff like that to the cash shop, but I would seriously begin to question GGG's integrity.

One reason I am far more excited for this game than I am D3, one reason I spent an optional $50 on this free to play game and didn't buy D3 at all, is because GGG seems to be focusing on an older target audience. If they start selling digital boobies for teenagers to gawk at, I would take it as proof that I was mistaken.

Yes, I know cash stuff is optional and I wouldn't even see the character sprites unless partying with someone who bought them, or in town. It is really just the principle of the thing, and it would be a statement that the company is mercenary enough to sell anything as long as it gets them money.

Exactly. The characters are supposed to be exiles, they're supposed to be realistic. It would a) break the mood of the game if the town was full of big-breasted ladies in bikinis (at least for me), and b) repel women and the more mature players, or even c) attract "gawking teenagers".

However, I fancy the idea of buyable skins (and gender options) for every class, as long as they are not over-sexualized and/or offending to some and fit the general graphic style of the game.

The skins are optional, if someone wants to make his character silly, why not allow him to? I am in favor of as many options and diversity as possible. If you really hate the others skin and it breaks your "experience" don't party with him...

I'm in favor of GGG providing us a game that's feature- and content-rich, but that doesn't mean I want them to add tons of.. "silly" stuff just for the sake of it. Having a consistent game-expirience is, atleast to me, what makes me play the game more and for a longer period of time.

And that is a good reason. And I guess I'll have to ellaborate on my post saying there was no reason why GGG wouldn't add "sexy females" as skins. I presumed that "sexy females" was simply the topic-starters way of saying "females".
Since you cut away the last part of my post, I wrote that if you wanted to be a wizard (male) instead of a witch (which I've always interpreted as a female) you could just buy a skin to do that. And the other way around.
My thougts on the topic is simply to add both female and male skins, and as you said, don't over-sexualize it, but give us a way to get cool skins, without boobs bouncing all over the place.
Well, it's pretty divided. That goes to show you can't please everyone. Allowing everyone to make his character like he desires was the best option but apparently others want to take away that liberty from you, because selfishly it breaks "their experience" the way you play it.

They should allow liberty in cash items in order to please everyone and their style of play.
Interesting. Yes please don't listen to the rabid forumers I already find some of them overserious to death, their ideas would probably make the game EXTREMELY boring ...

If I start seeing Rangers and Witches with two giant balloons tucked in their shirts and pants, I will never give money to GGG again.

If you people want tits and booty you can just google for them.
Nice, blackmail.

I chose to not support GGG so I didn't buy anything. It's a good game but only good as a F2P.

I hesitantly agree, if you are speaking of toons that look like strippers, hentai, heavy metal (the comic) or Boris Vallejo women then i agree... they are a bit too .... unsuitable .... for the wraeclast atmosphere.

but if you are speaking of attractive but appropriately armoured females then no I disagree.

If someone refuses to play something because of their preferences then that is their loss.
I, for instance will not play any of the Final Fantasy games because I cannot empathize with the characters and find them all ridiculous looking. (that's me being polite and not calling them spikey haired emo poofs)

That is purely subjective and you have no data to back up that assertion. My circle of friends and I fit the "older player" demographic and to the best of my knowledge none of us are annoyed by these things.
I think you would find that most older players are too desensitized to be worried about a pair of digital boobs and how they may or may not titillate them.

Of course there are some exceptions, eg "Bayonetta" which uses sex as a selling point, but games like that are aimed at a specific demographic and can only be used as an example of the exception, not the general rule.

I've known quite a few female gamers who think the opposite, they want to play characters that are sexy and not fugly.

This particular sword cuts both ways.

I don't really care either way if they do this or not but you can't dispute its potential to make money for GGG.
I would agree but some of these people need to get girl friends and remember that there are free porn sites to look at Boobs an Asses any day and any time you want. Its nice to see a women with decent sized breasts and not an ass that looks like its going to eat you for a change!! P.S. I'm tired of seeing Anime Styled women in games!!
My wife wont tell me why I have been Exiled!!
