" There is no end game content yet. Act 2 doesn't even have a boss and act 3 isn't even implemented, including Maps. Most of the stuff you hear referred to as end game right now is just people playing on the hardest difficulty in the current closed beta release. That being said, the posted build is enough to get you there. Whether or not it is effective is debatable, but with a few gem changes you should be fine. |

" The build posted in the OP is good enough to get you through the entire game on all difficulties. It's pretty poor at dealing with the current end-game, but the current end-game is going away in a week, and we have no idea how hard/easy the new end-game will be for various builds. TehHammer is not a crime!

Thanks for the info guys, for some reason I thought more of the end-game was available right now. I suppose everything will be wiped soon anyway, so if there was ever a time to experiment this is it. =]

3.4k ES nad 3.9k dps. Can do chaos but it way to slow to be effective. Also all melee are in deep ass in CHAOS becouse of large number of freezing mobs -.-

So I've been trying to use this build on my new Shadow and was wondering...is it supposed to feel extremely weak early on?
I mean, I can kill things pretty fast but I die in like 3-4 hits with about 300 HP and 320 ES in normal difficulty pyramid. I guess I'm just wondering about what level this build starts to take off or if I might as well start a new character to farm until I can actually get godly enough gear to pull this off. |

To tell you the truth I was playing along with bow until 32 lvl then I took weapon and shield and was pretty easy. But you will always be sadly fragile. Biggest problem for me were mobs with piercing attack. You have to be very carefull around them. I am kinda dissapointed even though this build gives godlike DPS.....I have shit equ and pulling off 4k dps with gear lvl 30.
Sadly all melee character in this game need very good items. I reading about spell caster that have 3k dps and killing left and right. While melee need at least 6-7 k to be effective. " Don't feel bad, Im going through the torture that is Act 1 Normal with a Shadow, its a goddamn nightmare. Im told it gets VERY easy once you get the Flicker Strike gem, which, if I remember correctly, is given as a reward in Act 2 for killing the Weaver (Spider / Spear quest). Im also told that Whirling Blades is almost as useful as Flicker Strike, not for attacking, but for getting the hell out of the way, its mostly used as a Back-flip or a escape method. |

" There was a nerf to flicker strike (seems there is a delay and you need to use a charge to remove it) and to elemental damage. How much has it affected the dps and viability of the build ? I was using lightning strike for AOE and was even doing chaos with it, but with the nerf of lightning strike and elemental damage I don't think it will still be viable. IGN: Megawipe

" The delay is np, youll get a charge every time you hit with flicker. This game is not about dealing damage, it's about surviving. Doesn't matter if you need 3 or 6 hit to kill an enemy, as long as you survive. |
