CARCASS JACK WON'T GO 6 LINK

Maybe you should start streaming. I heard somewhere that streamers get better RNG :D

1. If you want the best 6L do it by yourself and buy a good roll not linked item.
2. If you give a fuck about the roll then buy 6L for 3-4 Ex (more or less depends on item)

1.a) If you rely on 6L use bench Vorici craft 1500 fuse.
1.b) If you "believe" in your good RNG use it not (very risky).


Try to fuse 2 6L this league: First one i managed in about 900 Fusings,
for the Second im an 1470 and still not linked (used 28% Haku craft and about 1200 Fusings).

Very frustrating I know but still the best choice if you play a lot.
If you dont want to farm a lot and dont want to be risky it is best to save steadily for Chaos and then check the market for Second-Hand 6L.

My guess is that the odds of a 6L from one fusing is somewhere around 1 in 1200. It could be a little bit better than that. Even if a little better than that it's not enough better than 1 in 1500 to override using the bench unless you have a whole lot of fusings or a lot of patience. Neither one of which the opening poster had.

Personaly I put 2500 fusings this league into my weapon and still didnt 6 link it.

The system is just annoying overboard without need for it. After that I just 100% chanced it with fated connections since I couldnt stand anymore the uncontrolled RNG process without any failsafes.

Wanted to give it a try this one league since before I always used quaranted 6 links. Couldnt stand it even for one time try.

There are many solutions to make the system better, though GGG tends to pick the most lazy design there could be implemented.

I think it's a good thing that 6-linked armours don't rain from the sky. (Except they kind of do for everyone except SSF, but that's another discussion.) If everyone had easy access to such, then balance would have to be adjusted accordingly. Be careful what you wish for.

To understand the random nature of this, pay attention the next time you try to put 4 sockets on something with jeweller's orbs. Sometimes it takes a few, and sometimes it takes as many as 20 or 25. That's far more than the 10 required by the recipe. Here as well you are gambling, but the stakes are far lower, so perhaps you don't notice. Nonetheless, it's a good way to understand the nature of RNG vs. deterministic socketing/linking.

If it sometimes takes 25 orbs (250%) to 4-socket an item that only requires 10 on the bench, isn't it also reasonable to assume that 6-linking an item will sometimes require 3750 orbs of fusing (250%)?

Looks awful, right? But that is the price. All prices are fair, if you are not forced to pay them and/or the game is balanced around that price.

And the game is indeed balanced around it, necessarily so.

Conclusion? Well, do what you want, but do it with your eyes open. As an exclusively SSF player, I personally only spam orbs of fusing in an attempt to 5-link items, with the occasional 6-link an amazing bonus.

Sometimes you fight fire with water (arguing more than two sites about how randomness is random) and sometimes you fight fire with fire (showing how shitty the original poster is by countering with the same shitty behaviour also known as "give them a taste of their own medicine"). Might be rude but sometimes it does the job.
