PoE is still boring compared to D2

here is why i think why:

solo farming is boring, and group farming with randoms is not efficient atm
i`d love to play with other peoples on random games, just like i did in D2

ofc, you can make your own premade group and be efficient,
but i dont care about farming like a bot

i care about go into the PoE world, meet and play with other random ppls, do
something that we feel its rewarding

another aspect, there is nothing cool to do after you get your gosu Headhunter
or whatever ellse endgame item.

ive had this in mind in Diablo 2, that when i GET endgame gear
i can go PvP (wich outside of pathetic arena is nonexistent in PoE) and have great fun.

so yeah, i dont wonder why people burn out after 1 week and claim the league is dead cause what ellse to do in this symulator of grinding for nothing.

leveling and gearing process is freaking epic in PoE,
but what then ? i recently seen Lost Ark online stream, this is the game that feels like and open world hack and slash game with alot stuff to do.

hopefully GGG, you still stay strong and keep improving <3

For whatever reason I am much more prone to party in d2. I wonder if this is just because it is more efficient or force of habit from when I used to play? Exp bonus aside you can get carried, enchanted, and waypoints to short circuit. In PoE I don't think I leveled in a rando party since rampage.

Apart from that I disagree with d2 being more fun than poe entirely.

PvP...meh, go in Hall of Grandmasters and gitgud.
Find stuff, start new char to try new build or experiment your own...or at least min-max your current for uber elder and other uber or rare endgame bosses, do the challenges, take a break until next event and repeat with another build.
Or play less PoE and another game that got what you want, cuz we dont want PvP open world or something, that can be stressing not relaxing and fun.

You must not have played that much d2.

I mean d2 and poe are not really to be compared... how old is d2 lol

What I remember the most is....

1. Rushes and G rushes. Literally just afk in town while someone completes the game for you.

2. Doing cows to level and afk at portal

3. Doing cows to level but they made it so you can;t just stand at portal to get XP so you just followed the player that killed stuff from behind.

4. Baal runs, just afk by the portal in a safe spot.

5.Guber just afk in safe spot while hdins kill infinite skellies.

6. Real PvP (fpk) had lots of rules and so did all the 1v1 single class ladder ranks.

7. Game was always flooded with bugged items, dupes and imports if you know where to look.

Open pvp games were always trash and easy mode. Peoeple would do fun but stupid shit like Glitched Auradins, Auto Aim, FC zons, full absorb hummerdins that made any elemental build obsolete and the list goes on.

My favorite days were pre 1.10, specifically 1.08 and i truly enjoyed doing 4v4 full Zon squad duels. Maybe bring a Barb in for Battle Orders and buffs, and sometimes a Frozen Orb sorc with full Kinged Jewels (bugged jewel that had + skill level).

Trading was basically just using JSP and that's where all the good dueling communities existed.

Scamming was just fun. Doing things like Auto Pick it, for trading items that had to be dropped on the floor.

To be fair, GM duels on D2 was just very satisfying. Playing FPK matches 4v4 with respectful players were very fun.

But D2 did not have the PvE endgame anywhere near PoE. PoE crafting and Endgame are just SOOOOOOO GODDAM GOOD imo.

I just wish leveling to 100 took a lot longer. like at least a full month after a league started. It's too easy.
GODDAMIT I MISS D2

Yeah, most of the players stop playing the game in the middle of the league, because there is, probably, nothing else to do.
PoE needs some kind of ranking (besides lvl ladder ofc), like GR in D3.
With some good improvements, delve mines might be a good one.

Edit: I mean, if you think about it, we are farming for what?
Ok, endgame bosses and stuff, but whats next?
I rly dont like to compare, but at least in d3 u farm to get high position in your GR server

You have 10 characters all are below level 80 and on SC.

Play hardcore. lol

Anyone that hasn't ever played hardcore and calls PoE a grinding simulator does not have the right to have a valid opinion about the game.
and that's not just my opinion. :P

we can`t go back in time to D2 times, but we can improve PoE to be a freaking epic and endlessly replayable experience

just go look at Blizzard forums, they dont listen feedback at all




yeah, i enjoyed Tournaments (PCL) the most :(
these level 80 characters i forgot to delete after dead on HC :P

D2 Endgame is more boring than PoE Endgame.

You can comfort yourself with the fact that it's not a Hack'n Slash game, but an MMO (with combat style like an aRPG). It will therefore have emphasis on partying up, and might be the game for you :)
