" Yeah because nothing screams "chase" to me like generic damage increases /s They wanted to create another layer, instead of just giving you back some of the quality bonus they took from you in 2.0 with the quality gem nerfs (almost across the board) I think its fine there are things like +barrage or +ts projectiles, while it does make the skills that much better, lets not pretend like these skills are useless without the enchants. They were designed to be something you could chase and get, although not necessarily by yourself, but rather interacting with others and trading. Enchants were one of the better ways to implement this sort of thing. Now if your saying that some of these skills are completely unplayable without it, like without the arc chains, then GGG has room to buff those up outside the lab or introduce threshold jewels, but stuff like barrage and TS, they don't need touching. https://youtu.be/T9kygXtkh10?t=285

" That isn't true for all SSF players: I prefer SSF simply because the ladder is separate, so I see people who are playing from loot drops, not people who play "buy the best gear, game done in a week" mode. I would prefer a way to work toward the specific enchantment that was less RNG bound than the current model, and I would prefer to see drop rates tuned to account for the fact that trade isn't an option in SSF. Unless and until GGG remove the option to transport a character to standard, though, that is never going to happen. |

" They specifically made it so you could transfer to a trade league at any point, so that they had the perfect excuse to not do any specific changes for SSF mode. " As such you have a very large variation of stuff you can roll, offsetting the fact that its not an item you get for doing the lab, but rather a mod you can roll on an item. Getting a helm enchant for a build your playing feels really good, the fact that you more then likely have to trade for it, helps spark an economy in a place where one didn't exists really before the lab. Even stuff like leech on boots can net you multiple chaos more in terms of value then non enchanted boots. I think the enchants are actually one of the better things they could have done, because it doesn't prevent people from using specific uniques or rares, it doesn't prevent the skills from working without it. It just works, it competes with corruptions in the helm slot, which was purposely made to be weaker for helms due to the popularity of FOTM helms back in the day (alphas howl, rats nest, ect) There is a difference between chase unique and chase reward. Personally, lab is all good, but i would like to have an alternative to lab enchants in similar fashion as corrupted bonus or the implicit bonus on Bone Helmet.
ye, RNG sux, i bought recently a head for my build for 4ex. The previous build i saw no useful helmet enchant anywhere, altho "almost" good enough went for 6ex on 1c helmet base. So .. ye, the RNG is too stronk! I like boots & glove enchants from lab tho - those are great, the pool is lower, the usability is more universal I represent only myself, my own thought and believes. I am individual, not a representative of the community.
I am not speaking on behalf of someone else and I don't get offended by things that have nothing to do with me. 3.13 was the golden age. |

Enchantment should be modified to give 2 options: "enchant a new enchant" or "transfer an enchant between items."
To run lab hundreds of times to get the specific enchant is a problem indeed. The bigger problem is when you have a new helmet, you need to run again. An enchanted helm isn't something your suppose to be swapping out constantly, once you settle on what you are playing, you grab either a base or a unique with the enchant you want and never touch it again.
