Chaos damage is OP
I thought reflect was supposed to be in this game for a reason, and exactly what is the downside of chaos? Chaos is one of the highest/rawest damage in the game, while being immune to reflect. What exactly is the point of being anything else? I personally have to use two flasks, get vaal pact, and still have to be careful, and use timing/be on edge in a map due to reflect, and you have all these FOTM chaos builds that totally bypasses this mechanic? Make all enemies have 50% Chaos Resist (I believe they all have 0?, correct me if wrong, just talking out of my ass on this one) and that Chaos Damage can't leech, at all.
Keeps Chaos different to other elements, and nerfs it to be useful (helps vs reflect/etc) without being the to-go-damage-source every time its available. (Buff the real Chaos-Dealing skills, not converted-ones, if necessary). |

Pure chaos damage is the hardest to get and there's very few passive nodes for it. Voltaxic is just about the only thing that allows you to deal only chaos damage and nothing else. I don't have a Voltaxic so I don't know if it has any downsides.
On the other hand, I've found minions to be totally OP. I just completed cruel difficulty on my necromancer, destroying most bosses in seconds. Malachai lasted a bit longer due to having lots of different phases and minions being somewhat headstrong about switching targets. I can't wait to see how the build will fare in maps. |

Imo chaos damage should be nerfed to be equally strong as other damage sources . If a build ( chaos ) can fast clearing maps without even bother to care about monster mechanics then it is a shit design imo. Extremely bad design .

There should be map mods with extra chaos damage aswell, same with more monster affixes and types dealing chaos damage :)

100% conversion is OP. That's really what causes the complaint here. The chaos spells themselves are in a good balance.

Damage potential with chaos damage conversion is one problem, and poison is a huge one, as well as new generic more multipliers: conc effect, void manip, pierce. Anyway, reflect immunity must have a downside, and there's none currently. I don't think removing leech is the best solution, or only life leech then (but what about the flask then?), keeping mana leech available is important imho, and we could still use LgoH on attack build to refill life. But I'd be more for a less damage multiplier coupled to chaos conversion. Btw, I wonder why pierce, which is an AOE enabler, has a more multiplier. It's the only AOE enabler in the game to have one, afaik. Ranger builds list: /917964 When two witches watch two watches, which witch watches which watch? If the witches watching watches watch the same watch while you watch which witch watches which watch, they switch watches; then, the watch switching witches watch which watch you watch.
