Faster level 100 + ladder improvements = more and longer joy

Perandus league is the fastest to 100 yet. With ascendancys boosting clear speed, and perandus chests adding more mobs its almost like a mini domination every map.

I'm actually leveling my first toon after lvl 90ish (my highest character before Perandus was lvl 92), currently lvl 95 (almost 96) and despite what I read on forums (complaints like the one from the OP mostly) I find the experience quite enjoyable.
I'm taking my time, I'm not too picky on what map to run and so far everything goes along fine with a 30ish red map pool in my stash. The grind is real but the drops as well when you chain t9-t11 maps with the occasional red map in between for the fun and challenge. Playing a chaos caster I don't have to reroll my maps too much and spend crazy amounts of chaoses. Reaching lvl 100 is actually exactly what I expected to be, a slow but fun grind and a whole new look at the game when you did like me in the past and stopped at lvl 90ish. I agree that Perandus is maybe the best league so far to get lvl 100 and I do think that the cap is exactly where it needs to be, what I would crave for is more map types as running the same ones over and over can get tedious tho... |

too many games gives away the level cap wayy too fast, i think its fine that it takes long to reach.

Well after watching Zizaran rush to 100 I retract my suggestion to make levelling to 100 faster.
The actual underlying problem ( to me ) is that at some point the game boils down to a repititive map chaining that isnt as enjoyable as building up and gearing a build. However with the new league's Prophecies maybe something will be introduced that might change just that. Prophecies / tasks / quests to fulfill for great rewards might be motivating and diverse enough to keep going even at higher levels since it hopefully is less repetitive than chaining the same maps over and over again. I like the idea of a kind of story driven late game / mapping. Hopefully this works out and might grow to something bigger ( Yet I loved the Tempest / Warbands league concept of dynamically changing zones which added a dynamic to the game - sadly it didnt evolve ). Edit : I still think that league ladders should show who achieved level 100 in the shortest amount of playtime so that at any time someone else can still claim the top with a better build / more efficient playstyle. The first to reach 100 could still be rewarded ( even though I am not sure if skipping sleep is an achievement that should be promoted ).
