The end of cwdt and enduring cry

but it would be a good buff for armour users when needed.

err, when my Facebreaker character selfcasts EC, he goes over the 90% cap and when he pops a granite(without ec's), he sits at 87% reduction.

You probably meant low armour users?

You should probably read up on how armor works again. The % reduction numbers on the character sheet dont mean squat.
I think its not the end, its the beginning.

Hopefully people will be creative again with cwdt instead of the reg combo with ec id ic.

More frostwall, totem ice nova etc

the removal of spell echo from EC would also see it become more obsolete

alternative ways to get end charges will become more popular

that's the ticket they punched when they made skills an amorphous blob, you can't nerf defence for just templars or witches because every build can use it
Let the games begin

The problem is not CWDT+EC
the problem is CWDT+IC

I disagree
people are far more likely to self-cast IC than EC. people dont like casting EC before each pack, but IC-wise, aside from constant phys reflect mitigation, can possibly be done only when in a pickle.

^The problem is IC :)

Cwdt is irrelevant in this equation. It automates something that players will simply self-cast for longer duration's if you remove it. That's how good it is :p.

Full immunity to a deadly damage type with the opportunity cost of a single gem slot is a no brainer.

Imagine it had a different effect, like 1000% MORE armor. Suddenly you put more opportunity cost on it while still being extremely strong for the people using it/investing in its opportunity cost.

And suddenly evasion get's wrecked by physical spells/reflect since they have 0 armor to start with :p.

Peace,

I like that 1000% more armour idea more and more (pun intended). although the multiplier can be even higher. something like 100-120k armour is still not that much against big hits, sadly enough

The main reasoning behind this is that if something is meant to be up all the time, it might as well be a toggle. Otherwise, it becomes busywork. If something is being self cast but is situational, it suddenly isn't a big deal because you aren't casting it every single time to keep it up 24/7.

So I agree with it. I'd much rather have skills that have a lot more oomph but aren't meant to be up permanently.
