Commentary on Micro-transaction Pricing
Had VISA since i was 12years old.
No fee on it, works just as every other VISA there is. Either you switch bank/country and stop bitching or simply: DO NOT BUY THINGS! - THEY DO NOT IMPOWER YOU IN ANY KIND OF WAY. You are NOT forced to buy anything from the shop. It's a luxery not everyone bothers with / can not pay for. Stop this crying already! zzZzzzZzzZz

Since all the microtransactions except the extra stash tabs and character slots are totally useless I don't care how much they cost. Let the people who wants to see some glowing pixels on their screen pay $1000 for them if they so like, doesn't affect me.
Although it would be nice if people spent their money on more worthwhile things, but if it wasn't for glowy weapons for 20+ bucks they'd probably throw their money away on some other useless crap anyway. |

" Allow me to pose a question to you. Do you know me or do you just make blind assumptions based on the fact that you believe one cannot logic their way through an issue. In any case, I have neither a degree in economics, nor have I run a free to play game with a microtransaction model, but I did co-own a for-profit minecraft server for a good year before I got out to do other things, and I have set up a real business with real investors and real profit/loss margins. So I would say that I might know a thing or two. Dernière édition par Ooshkii#7047, le 8 févr. 2013 à 06:09:38

" Fixed, to my defense you did quote the same thing and then you said: "This right here is exactly the point I am trying to make in all of this." ;) " The thing is, you're not talking about the price of everything. You're only talking about the expensive stuff and immediately dismissing anything cheaper as 'stuff nobody wants' while you actually mean 'stuff I don't want'. Your premise is wrong, people don't usually choose to not buy any car at all just because they can't afford a Ferrari. While it would be nice if you choose to support the game within your means, you don't have to, but your arguing for removal of pricier pets for people with more means to spend to show their support of the game just doesn't make financial sense. |

I don't see how the prices are wrong. I wanted to buy a scorpion pet and I looked at the prices and the diffrent looks and bought the one I thought looked good and had a price that I was willing to pay.
I like that they have some very expensive stuff that not everyone going to run around with. Also I no idea what game you playing but in all towns I been in most playes have least one if the weapon effects or the helm effects so seems most buying something. " There aren't. Go ahead, if you feel the need to complain about non-gameplay altering cash shop items no one wants you here. |

" The first bit is a fair criticism of my position, but I believe that I can account of it with this. I dont dismiss the cheap stuff because it is cheap. I dismiss it because the price of the cheap stuff is about the price I would be willing to pay for what is currently the expensive stuff (not because it is expensive but because colossal weta looks like it should reasonably be $5, and some sort of Evil, necromatic seething, plays a 2 sec sound clip when you kill a yellow or orange mob, specter should be in the 30$-40$ range.) The second bit, you once again set up a strawman of my argument. Yes, if someone doesn't have the money or inclination to buy a Ferrari, they then don't hold out until they get one, but pets and weapon effects are not essential parts of everyday life. You can't compare the purchase patterns of essential and non-essential goods (in this case transportation as a whole is the essential good) The final bit, I don't recall ever calling for the removal of the pricy pets, and have numerous times said that good for GGG in that they found people waiting to hand over globs of money. I am just saying that if the price structure remains as it is, I believe that they better get used to that sole source of income, because I'm just not seeing it. As always, then again, I could be wrong. |

diamond supporters need to dump points before GGG makes money.
