Try playing 2h a day, doing all content cos doing one thing over and over is too boring for normal person and then we will talk about good profit in game.
So your argument is that since you play less you need to get more?
So someone who plays the game twice as much as you should have no benefit?
Maybe you should try making your own game, sounds like your on to something.
No, Im sain that people with not so much time like "nolifes" witch mean 90% of players should have access to better gameplay. Of course you can profit but when you will earn enough, your gear is 3,4...times more ekspensive and your currency means sh.....

Retention is the number one metric for any business to stay afloat.
This is a nonsensical statement.
"
Even in my contracting business, gaining new customers costs far more than someone who has already paid me 10k or more calling again and saying, whenever you are slow, just put me on your schedule. It is pretty idiotic to think player retention does not matter.
Your contracting business is irrelevant to the gaming space.
"
Either way, GGG sacrificed 10 years of growth for a declining starting player population in both games. Because they know better than the people putting 1000s of hours into their games since closed beta, guess they forgot most of their "trust me bro" decisions got pushed back by the community before Chris left... it would take a couple patches. Still, when they would finally relent, the game got better.
And here we arrive at the actual point. That you think you know how to make the game better then ggg. So go ahead and do it, make your own game.
Measuring player retention in an early access game with league cycles and free weekends inbetween is about as braindead as it gets.
Your literally no different then the person your responding to...
Oh this is a nonsensical statement, Nope thats buisness and facts.
His buisness is not irrelevant to the gaming space buddy, look at last epoch, they couldnt stay afloat off MTX alone, had to look for investors.
Diablo? relies on selling its expansions for continued seasons and funding
POE? Relies on MTX, at this rate, with how many people their angering, although they have received decent funding, they rely on the community to stay afloat, and this community is completley split, we post our feedback here because we were having fun, we did enjoy the game, not the current direction.
Why does this community get so personally offended when actual intelligent people leave their detailed feedback and criticism of the game
They have split the entire playerbase, look at launch player count VS each season, theres a reason players aren't returning, and new players who got the game because of free weekend, have given up aswell like all my friends
It is not fun in its current state, its a slog, a never ending grind where all I'm asking myself is why?
They need to switch course, or hope the small group of people with nothing but time on their hands will never stop buying MTX.

Ya so the only issue with what your saying, you know the omens, all RNG based, the ritual tablets? all rng based, have ran quite a few rituals and still 0 tablets
The game is a gambling simulator in terms of loot and drops, the one posting this was not wrong what so ever, and you are knitpicking, just because 1 person can do something doesn't mean all can, Usain bolt runs faster then everyone else on this planet, why can't you just run as fast as him? its that simple right?
No, that's completely different.
It's not one player who regularly gets good gear via drops and crafting every league; it's several thousand.
Alas, if you play trade, you can buy the Omens you need. Most of them are fairly cheap.
"
People who refer to oh well people on the HC realm made it this far, its all rng based, the enemies you find the rares, they encounter a broken enemy with affixes they cant fight? disconnect return to hideout no map, Sure you set up your own rules that you yourself follow and live by, Most HC players especially the ones competing for leaderboard don't do that...
They will disconnect or even alt f4 in emergency
Maybe they do, but that's not my problem really.
I know you don't face unbeatable enemies in this game if you know what you are doing.
And I know that even when I play builds that aren't particularly OP compared to what the top 5 meta is doing, I'm pretty well kitted out by level 90. And I know that on most occasions, at least couple of pieces of that gear is either crafted myself or found myself. Even tho I am not what I'd consider an expert player, nor do I play hundreds of hours per league.
"
The current state of the game is built around pure rng and luck, its like winning the lottery, some players will get lucky and rich, the rest will slave away just to get decent gear and orbs, they aren't playing HC for a reason.
(some HC players also use scripts and mods to avoid death) HC is not a good comparison to normal trade leagues
Funny how every league it seems to be the same players being very lucky in SSF.
I'm not sure how you are slaving away. I mean.. How is it away from your gear or currency that someone else got lucky and found good gear? If anything, that should help you, since now those players are trading away their old gear.

But regardless; Do you mean to say that there shouldn't be items that weren't likely to drop for the average player within a couple of league's play time?
Every item in the game should be reasonably obtainable for the average player within a short enough amount of playtime that not only would they be able to get it within their playtime in one league, but would also have enough time left in that league to actually enjoy having it.

To me that sounds like then veteran players would really quickly run out of stuff to grind for; and that e.g. seeing an unique drop would be a lot less exciting.
I'm not aware of any ARPG that did that.

Why do non casuals try to start and then defend this idea?
If you’re commenting on the forum, you aren’t casual.
Casuals don’t care about stuff like this
