It isn't a problem with just this boss. All bosses are either a joke or they have poorly telegraphed one-shots. And/or many one-shots. If a boss relies on one-shots to be challenging then it is poor design.
Instead of fixing defenses and regen on players, they just add more bosses with one-shots.
First off there arent actually that many one shot mechanics, if you think there are then its a gear/build issue. But there are some one shot mechanics, as there should be.
Why are one shots poor design?
The boss has an attack that needs to be dodged, if you fail to do so you fail the boss fight, this is a skill check. Why is this poor design? You failing to do it isnt a logical argument for it being poor design.
Secondly, if you want to remove one shots then how is the boss fight supposed to be challenging? If the boss cant threaten to kill you then where is the challenge?
One shots are bad design because they are built on forced learning through failure where there is no way to outplay it unless you know beforehand or watch a guide to know about guaranteed one shots or get lucky. A boss, and winning in general ought to be a matter of skill and ability/gear, not luck or special knowledge.
Like imagine if you beat a boss, and then its programmed to kill you right after you win out of the blue because "you are supposed to die at least once". Relying on one shots, design wise might as well be amateur, it means you've given up on actual good design and have to rely on being cheap.

Going back to freaking Diablo I even, you want easy mode? Play sorc or rogue. You want a challenge, play the warrior. Diablo 2 same thing, along with basically every other ARPG.
Melee is supposed to be tougher, people do it cus they want the challenge and enjoy the fantasy. it is inherently more difficult NO MATTER WHAT given that you have to be close to mobs instead of far away.
This is like saying, "man rifles are so overpowered, we should just all go back to waging war with melee weapons."
There is a gauranteed risk factor in melee that range will never have, no amount of crying on the forums will change this, and IMO it isnt something that even needs a fix, thats just simply the way it is. It works the exact same way in real life, and it works the exact same way in the game. its practically physics.
the game is slow, melee in poe2 is pathetic.

Made 3 builds so far
2 raged and 1 close up
both ranged classes the games a fucking cake walk like its not even funny , Goto melee and what a shit show, sure you can kill things but it takes 10 fucking years for your build to come online, Your slow as hell, theres a billion and a half floor effects + 1 shots off your screen .
than theres the bosses and fuck some of them like fairdun you dont even get to do damage too because your stuck running too them. Like fuck me ggg why not just remove it all together, Sure ive made a bs monk that flys around the map in 0.2 but thats abusing shit and the average build is just dogshit compared to playing anything else its that simple

Its still in the process of being built as I don't follow build guides and don't even look at what other players are building for help. I just go off of what I feel is needed in my build.
Literally the biggest portion of this game is building your character. The mobs are just a means to that portion.
You would be surprised how just changing 1 support or 1 node on the skill tree can massively improve your character.

Hint for your guys dont even try to reply dudes that dont even played poe 1 to get to maven, they clearly dont played the prior game so they dont know shit about poe 1 and i doubt poe 2 since its worse

I completely agree. Being one shot directly goes against their "meaningful combat" dialogue they keep pushing. I genuinely don't understand what they want this game to be most of the time.

I've played POE 1 and beat Maven multiple times.
Calm your horses there champ. POE 1 is super easy and don't pretend its not.
