there is 0 reason to complete a map that has Monke as a boss, zero

and you can ignore him on storyline too

that said, i have not seen him since i skip all Rupture's, Riversides and icy caves

The timing varies because of map mods and slows, etc. I can maybe dodge it 19 times out of 20. Still not worth it to me. So I just remove all the boss passives so it only does about 5k dmg with the slam.

So a 5% chance for you to die? What's the alternative? Bosses that you can beat 20/20 times no matter what mods are active?

It seems the issue is more that people lose XP on death. Which makes a 5% chance to die not worth the risk for some people.

I personally don't care about XP loss so can't comment on that. But I do really like fighting bosses that can kill me AND boss mechanics where I can only blame myself if I die.

That said an increased movement/attack speed gorilla is definitely a sweaty fight lol
you need to go melee range asap and dodge from there
Uh, dude! You haven't been to Kulemak yet! If you don't kill in 10 seconds, the whole arena will be in puddles and you will 100% die in them. Compared to him on the monkey, you have a chance. Although it's completely broken.

Maybe your reading aid is confused because I specifically said he bonked me with auto lock to my dodge roll.


You lack Stun threshold then.
It is a skill issue in build making.

You got hit by the edge of the slam. I see no issue here. The oneshot is also looks fair, you have 1500/1900 life/es on level 73.
I have 1500 es for the monkey in act 3 on HC :D

I see no issue with the monkey himself, its fun boss, but i clearly see the issue with armor/evasion.
Evasion is a roulette (im not sure it works against slams tho)
and Armor is absolutely useless against such slams as monkey bonk which is so stupid since armor is used for most "tanky" archetypes.

So its funny when monkey can easily oneshot "armored" warriors, but can't do anything against ES stacker "squishy" mages. ES even recharges for free between monkey hits.

Maybe I lack experience then. Care to elaborate how Stun treshold helps against one shot?
