Balance is NOT possible - PROVE ME WRONG
" META will always be a thing. The goal is the lower the window between top meta builds and the skills that are crap and the skills that are 99% useless. They refuse to buff the crap stuff but instead buffed LA in .3. That should show you there is a lot of confusion over there when it comes to balance. Side note, I know mace skills have it the worst overall at the moment but they really need to get swords, axes, and or flails into the game before another caster type to help the problem. Tankyness for the melee players needs to rise without making non melee get more tanky since range has such a massive advantage over melee in this game. I think an extremely easy fix is add small HP points / %'s to the red nodes in the bottom left and tie them to melee damage or armor nodes etc. to demotivate Deadeye's from pathing to the same nodes to stack HP. Long story short, broken bugged builds always need fixes but just because something is strong now doesn't mean gut it. They can tone down slightly top end builds but they REALLY need to buff the crap stuff this time instead of LA again. |

" The differences in DPS are astronomical! Not just 8 and 10. We talking about killing bosses with one shot. Meta is 100x overpowered than a typical build. You don't need defences if you kill with one click shot. In fact you can put a 3 year old to play for you and you can go for coffee. So that's why suggesting for caps, becouse Devs never listen people's experience with no meta builds. |

Players always claimed there was meta builds in PoE1 yet I always took the most hipster things and just obliterated the end-game. It's more that there are meta CONDITIONS. Not meta builds.
There was a 2 year period I just refused to make any melee build. Had nothing to do with skills. It was the overall condition of melee in the game. It no longer met the meta conditions. PoE2 is not like that though. It's easy to compare skills. No one is going to use Ember Fuselage when we have Fireball and Flame Blast. These skills aren't even close and everyone but GGG knows it. I'm near certain they're using bait skills for testing purposes but giving them that. I still don't think they're up for the job. Like what safety helmet dev came up with the new conversion rules or thinks picking up infusions is fun gameplay for all elemental caster now. "Never trust floating women." -Officer Kirac

" Indeed. In all classes there are skills that significantly degrade the existence of others skills. 20% of them are powerful and the rest are meh... Why is so difficult for Devs to bring balance to all skills. We don't talking about making them equal in DPS becouse that is impossible but living astronomical differences leads the weakest to be abandoned. Poe2 need a dedicated team and provide at least monthly balance patches mid-league.
Before someone say "iTs a sEasONal mOdEl"... Seasonal model is for economy to get wiped, so it doesn't inflate into infinity and gate new players from joining. Combat balance requires continuous changes of every ability in the game. Each skill needs to have its numbers aligned gradually, in small amounts, to find the sweet spot eventually. And that requires frequent patches and constant monitoring. Throwing a league every 4-5 months and leaving it, is the opposite of that and will never lead towards balance. |

Every month skills and gems should get readjustment. Reviews of players should help to this direction. |
