GGG put max cap on MOVEMENT SPEED and DPS. This is the only guaranteed solution for OP builds!!
" This. Just because you may play the game like a single player experience, then unless you're also playing SSF, you're still partaking in the player driven economy which is competitive. And you'll never guess the kinds of players usually winning in the economy. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! And the winds will cry / and many men will die / and all the waves will bow down / to the Loreley |

I half agree, though your proposals are a bandaid solution for a deeper problem.
Some builds nuke the game in a way where it's difficult to see it as intended gameplay, but ultimately it's up to GGG to decide whether these are simply good builds, or exploitation of the flaws in PoE2's design. If the latter, then they need to use ez mode builds as their starting point in figuring out what they did wrong, and fix it. |

Maybe not hardcaps, but softcaps with diminishing returns?
Say you have 30% move speed on your boots, any more from passives only become half as effective? Something along those lines… Player damage on the other hand, that’s the hard part. |

" I mean, it's nothing to do with us who like a fast endgame mate. [Removed by Support] All anyone is doing in this thread is complaining, literally 0 of it is constructive, because the discussion is based on complete nonsense only people who don't really understand the concepts or play the game would agree with. I'm in the "don't want the slow lame/meaningful combat" group.
However, the OP builds *are* an issue due to them tying everything to the economy. If drops aren't tied to the economy then OP builds literally can't affect other players. But since the game is designed for you to have no chance at being completely self-found you either play OP to stay ahead of economy or you no-life the game. |

There is new Chris Wilson YouTube video where he talks with Grim Dawn creator, at one point Chris talks about the problem of OP builds ruining the economy for everybody else, because of how much wealth they accumulate - they push prices of desirable items higher and higher, because of that people with slower build will not be able to get these items.
so yes that is huge problem, and the man himself just confirms that for you, so there you go, now you can stop pretending to be smart and tell how people shouldn't care about it. It affects everybody on trade league and forces you to play op build if you want to keep up, which skewes the game for everybody towards being a zoomer, making it infact - mandatory. |

" i mean with that rationale everyone is forced to flip items all day long. even then if you join an organized group your profits go through the roof- so is everyone forced to form groups, and make them big enough to gain market share? better pick the right one to join i guess, cuz its highlander rules at that stage. |
