Major Endgame Changes in Patch 0.3.1 for Path of Exile 2

Honestly, people weren't complaining about that, it's not the size of the packs and how many that's a problem. It the high base speed of the monsters compared to player speed, and usually monster speed getting buffed by waystone modifiers. That makes it overwhelming. Trying to kite a mob as melee (Armor and shields negative speed effect seems way too much and unclear how much it actually is got some +30%speed boots was cool upgrade for a minute, got new armor/shield and back to moving like a snail), and then all of sudden you have 3-4 mobs on you in 1-1.5 seconds because you're slow AF. They are usually always 2-3 groups together spread them out more throughout the map. Keep the Monster density, most of the time map feels empty already as it is, until you get to a rare monster. The endgame map is BORING. The random generation makes the world not feel personal. It also does not let your friends help clear a shared map.
I personally want to see Wraeclast, I want to see the druid home, where the pally's started, I want to see the world. Give me an Open map and I would like to play in the regions I want to play in, not where the little AI generated line, that is royally bugged btw, tells me to go. It is bad that Super Mario world had a better map system. If you would like a suggestion, instead of single maps, make an entire interlude customizable to the vastiri desert. Put a tablet in the entire interlude map. No one wants to craft a map for every area, match it to a tablet, worry about how many charges are on a tablet. They want to play the game. Stop making random bosses. It is so generic. Like the interlude area above. Make a boss have a buildup to some climax. Make the player hate this guy before it meets its doom. Then after clearing a minimum amount of corruption from a region, make the citadel the final interlude, and repeatable. |

The tower haters won and the game is turning more into PoE1. It's also sad to see the icons above the map for the extra content disappear. The Atlas with a bunch of grey Icons is gonna be boring to look at.

As someone who only plays hardcore, I had no issues with the difficulty and mob density of lower tiered maps. Hoping there's not a noticeable decrease because that's when you can tell where in your build you need to work on early on to push harder content.

I really don't understand how this is a good change. You are nerfing us from a possible 63 percent in a three tower overlap down to 30 percent quantity on a single map. You should definitely raise the quantity of items found to at least 20 percent per tablet. So at least we can replicate the values we were already getting with the three tower overlap? Towers will be useless now if all we get is visibility and an extra tablet. When your atlas is properly juiced you can get more than enough tablets in your maps how it currently is.

" Isnt wanted? This is game is called POE2 not Random ARPG boogaloo. I called these changes on 0.1, it just took them a while (honestly quicker than I thought) to implement them. And thank god they are implementing them. POE1's endgame is miles ahead of this, and the more they take from it the better. |
