1. I (we) don't care what's engaging for you. We don't want to engage, we want to blast. If you think we are wrong, check how every patch we come close to what I (and most players) want.

It can be a tailored experience in the campaign/early prog, and then have blasting in the late game. Why not.

2. Some of the chase items haven't dropped for me even as an active player in Standard. If you can't get that drop for almost a year, it is absurd to think you would in a league-life-time event (4 months). I want items to drop if I beat the challenge. Now I beat all pinnacle content and the drops are the same as a regular map. Some rewards should be a guarantee.

I've dropped 1 headhunter 2 rathpiths, 2 rakiatas flow, I haven't even played that much in 0.3 because I got bored of hunting towers. If the items weren't rare, they wouldn't be chase items. You want them to be easier to get so you can have them, but then you won't really even be excited about it if it's "guaranteed".

3. I expect the game to be at least 120fps-high settings. And I always run juiced content, so this happens all the time to me.

I notice you are not even close to be a endgame player/blaster. It is normal for you to be this comfortable with the current state of the game. When you actually get to discover the game you will change your mind.

I wish the game had that fps too but it's insane for that to be your acceptable minimum when so much is going on.

Oh brother, that guy's been a PoE player for 11 years and has a level 100, compared to your single year of gameplay, by the way.

2. Your chase items aren't meant to be found but bought. I don't know if I am playing a role, power fantasy game or a Casino-like/economy based one. Because I either gotta be extremely lucky or insanely rich to get some items.
The one thing that people like about Diablo 4 (have to be mentioned) is that their damn mythic items drop. You know which activities will drop those and you don't need to spend your life chasing them or selling the few good drops you get in order to buy the one you want.
Allow players to have fun. Make the ''chase items'' to actually drop, because the streamers videos jumping for a rare drop will get old soon enough. And that will be bad for your game if the hype of the players depend on it.
Stop treating players like ludopaths.

And where exactly do you buy them from? Do they materialize out of thin air? Are they sold by devs on the market?

El. oh. él.

Thera are 2 reasons: Gear and crafting currency costs tons of divines is mostly caused by Currency farmers. Prices are winded up in the begining of the league so they can earn most of $$$ per 1 divine.. then inflation comes and they sell packs.. but at the same time items prices and currency required for crafts also skyrockets (especially for meta gear: like dead eye bow, or currency: example hinekora lock or omen of whittling those prices are sick) - so they can keep income of $$$.

The 2nd reason How bad economy in poe is designed. At the start of the league, ppl race to get as soon as possible to farm endgame maps and bosses for most of currency and meta items. They use ofc meta builds. If you start league with experimental build you will have hard time and gain little of currency (and from that people currency farmers benefits most) - From people who want to enjoy the game, but they dont want to spend 16 hours a day to grind divines (which with their non meta build is almost impossible, cause non boosted with item rarity content have like 0.1% to drop divine...). on other side how much you can grind if you not spend whole day in the game.. Well being realistic only few divs if you lucky. You can make profit out of it if you know how to craft.. but there is a wall that better crafting currency is also expensive.. so again you need time to get some more currency.. so either you need to grind and spend time or.. or again pay.. and internet is full of offers.. so i assuming GGG do nothing about this. I noticed also some streamers suprisingly have always lots of currency (like 100 divs? cmonxD) in the begining of the league .. even thou they barely starts to do endgame and they didnt even do proper crafts yet (interesting...)

Solution? Probably few.. You can for example make 1 trading currency - craft currency drops increased so they are more common and dont affect market fluctuation.. like GGG did when they divided currency into 3 variansts (-> Chinesse currency farmers happy noises here). Im not saying to make diablo style loot pinata -> but just make some stuff more obtainable by people, and devalue them for currency farmers.

HH, rathpiths, and rakiatas flow ARE NOT chase items. I am talking about Grand Spectrums, Prisms, and items that only drop from certain content yet they never do. Again: I have done an incredible amount of Sekhemas and haven't seen a single Grand Spectrum. Same applies for the others. Fuck it! I haven't even seen a Megalomaniac.
I am saying that the content that drops certain chase items should actually drop it more often, because even tho I can end up dropping a jewel that won't mean it would be the one I want/need for my build, that makes trading mandatory.

About performance: I am playing a 25 Euros game in a 2.500 Euros GPU with a 700 Euros CPU. Something is wrong in the development side.
Do not forget: this is an early access paid product that sold over a million keys, not an indie game developed by a small team of dreamers. They are not focusing on performance because they underestimated their capacity and are trying to develop constant updates for 2 games that are very content hungry. They should hire more people, yet they don't while money keeps flowing in.
Don't be blind. They were bought by Tencent.

So? We are talking and playing PoE 2. And we all have played the same amount of time if we did since launch. Not the same game, right?
I know PoE1 players want a especial trophy for playing since they were 20, but now they are 30+ and they should be mature enough to know that there is no trophy for them.

PS: I didn't play a year of PoE1. That game looks horrible and I didn't want to play that PS1 looking game for more than a couple of hours. Graphics and physics are important for me. If they are as bad as PoE1's I am not playing.

PoE 2 has a problem: the currency is used to craft and it is way too rare and way too expensive.
You mentioned D4. To be honest, they did it right: you can trade items, but not the crafting currency. They made crafting available for everyone, so you only trade some items and that's it. That's why people are literally playing the game and not playing a game to trade or to have a chance of get to try a build.
I just want the items to be way more available, including the crafting. If you don't become rich in POE you are stuck to play 1 build and class for the season because you will be chasing everything, even a small upgrade for months as prices for everything keep rising.

Game is totally playable without trading gear, if you're in a trade league the currency exchange will be more then enough unless your goal is to rush trough the content and finish your character in the shortest amount of time. Someone said they are 92 and still have gear from acts...yeah right, you are not looking enough or your filter is a little too strict because clearly you're missing out.

1. Mapping is as bad as an endgame activity can get.

2. Your chase items aren't meant to be found but bought. I don't know if I am playing a role, power fantasy game or a Casino-like/economy based one.

3. The performance is not even viable for the alpha phase of a game.

1. You basically only said that you don't like being slowed. It's not clear how that translates to the entire endgame being bad. And the point of this game is always going to be killing things as fast as possible.

2. You are in a casino. Hope that clears a few things up.

3. Performance is terrible. This needs to be addressed asap, even if it only at first means we're given more control over how much crap appears on screen.

It appears the tldr of 90% of this thread is that you think rare items are too rare and you want drops in this game to feel more like diablo 4. I strongly disagree.

1. Said a few things more than that. Skipped the obvious things to not make it too long.

2. Shouldn't be. That will change for sure. Hope that clears a few things up.

3. They are developing like children: they just want to keep adding stuff on the screen. This is a matter of bad decision making while developing. I guess this is why PoE franchise is a ''free'' one.

It doesn't have to be like D4. Yet, it should be like D4.
Items should be dropping for everyone beating the endgame at some point. I am not asking for a Spectrum in the first trial of Sekhemas to get your first ascendancy, I am talking about spending MONTHS! playing juiced content and destroying pinnacle stuff without being rewarded.

PS: I was so right, that a day after my post chilled ground and towers are being changed.
Some people just want endless grind to be playing all day. That will change the day they get a job. That's why the game should be prepared to reward the players with a decent amount of investment, but not making mandatory spending your life playing the game.
Your point number 2 is a strong one!

2. Your chase items aren't meant to be found but bought.

This needs to change asap.

All Uniques that drops from regular maps are completley useless, i would even say that they are joke.
