Comparing the launch of an unkown product with the known version of it after almost a year is insane fanatism. The numbers don't need to be denied, they need to be analyzed. You clearly aren't doing it.
More people played 0.1 because they didn't know what the game was like. And the numbers kept high due to constant patching (which ended in PoE1s league delay and people didn't like it), but after watching the nerfs in 0.2, plus people knowing what the game was already like, it dropped by a lot. It went up for 0.3 because people saw Lightning Spear in 0.2.
You can keep thinking whatever you want, but if they want this game to succeed they will have to make it more ''POE1-like'' because people want to play a fun game, especially the people that have a job and a life, which are the ones that matter.
People with no arguments alwas jump on the bandwagon calling others "fanatics", so typical. El oh él.
Talking about analying numbers, when you fail to do so yourself.
Let me help you: More people played 0.1 for a longer period than 0.3. That means, the initial playercount was bigger, and after 3 months of 0.1, the playercount was 'bout the same as it is right now.
And you're saying that people need 3 months to figure out they don't like the game? Not even you can be that naive.

You are straight lying because the numbers are there. The curves are clear: less people played for 0.2 and people came for 0.3 after Lightning Spear. As simple as that.
You don't seem a mentally sane person. I will save time by not talking to you anymore.
Whatever you want to say read this answer: Sure, buddy.

You can legit beat Elden Ring naked (LetMeSoloHer) but you won't beat PoE2 without gear that you can only buy from streamers-like players.
Nah, people did level 30 naked runs on uber bosses in POE 1, the only reason that hasn't happened in POE 2 yet is because they can't make it through the campaign and be level 30 haha.
That said... Ihave two characters at 92/93, both of them haven't had an upgrade since the acts... I 1 shot everything still, the gear makes zero difference whatsoever. THat's the biggest killer of fun -- there's no reason to keep playing, because there's no reason to get good gear, because nothing can get 1 shot any harder or faster...
Character is maxed out and fully geared by level 65-70
I want to see that. Please link a video of what you just said: a campaign geared character (meaning act 4 gear) 1-shotting juiced T15 maps (without dying, of course), bosses, and pinnacles. I legit claim for evidence of what you just wrote. I haven't seen a single video of that. And I could swear that would give some cash to streamers if that was possible.
Link a video or simply cut the crap, mate. Ain't no 13y/o kids around.

Dishonest to lump endgame and campaign together.
The campaign thus far is already enough to justify the $30 people spent on testing the game, and has some problems to iron out just because there are so many different skills/ areas to consider, but ultimately is an extremely well flushed out experience.

I didn't write a single bad thing about campaign.
But in order to clue you in, because you seem to be a lost boy, I paid 30 for Baldur's Gate 3 when it was in early access and had WAY MORE content than PoE2 AND it was waaaay more polished in terms of performance, which was an actual point I made.
You can't ''-1'' a post when your reading skill is like -500.

Well you just make general broad statements and don't specify, so it seems like you are talking about the whole game. Also seems like you just ignore the fact the late-game is not balanced with traditional combat pacing because players have spent time scaling their characters and become powerful. It changes from traditional combat pacing to things that can kill stronger players and stat check weaker ones.
The areas where there is combat pacing and you expect there to be, are pretty damn good. Boss HP for some bosses is a bit low after 0.2 nerfs, apart from that it's pretty damn excellent.

You seem to be answering to a different post, for real.
I did make clear statements and also wrote clear examples for each. You just need to... read (?)
This is an ARPG. People are here for the endgame, not to enjoy a beautiful campaign with a happy ending. If the campaign is good - nice, rush it to get where I will spend most of my time: the endgame. If the campaign is bad - nice, rush it to get where I will spend most of my time without regrets: the endgame.
The goal is making every boss' HP going from 100% to 0% in the less amount of seconds possible. ''Engaging combat'' just means I need more damage.
Again: this is an ARPG, mate. We are here to blast monsters. And this ain't just me, look every other ARPG and what players do or look for to do.

I disagree that it is not engaging is my point. They did good, where they could.

2. Your chase items aren't meant to be found but bought
I don't know if I am playing a role, power fantasy game or a Casino-like/economy based one. Because I either gotta be extremely lucky or insanely rich to get some items.
The one thing that people like about Diablo 4 (have to be mentioned) is that their damn mythic items drop. You know which activities will drop those and you don't need to spend your life chasing them or selling the few good drops you get in order to buy the one you want.
T0 items being droppable anywhere is good, there are also boss unique specific items that are good, maybe not for you specifically, and maybe the t0 items didn't drop for you, but they obviously do drop.
"
3. The performance is not even viable for the alpha phase of a game. This is a paid product at the moment.
It is more than viable, I am running it on a pretty mid level rig these days. Again, it just sort of breaks when you get into juiced content. For sure we could use better performance, but to say it is not up to standard is again dishonest because the areas where you expect the game to have good fps do have it.
A more advanced culling system for especially multiplayer and cleaning up some monster effects would be nice.

1. I (we) don't care what's engaging for you. We don't want to engage, we want to blast. If you think we are wrong, check how every patch we come close to what I (and most players) want.
2. Some of the chase items haven't dropped for me even as an active player in Standard. If you can't get that drop for almost a year, it is absurd to think you would in a league-life-time event (4 months). I want items to drop if I beat the challenge. Now I beat all pinnacle content and the drops are the same as a regular map. Some rewards should be a guarantee.
3. I expect the game to be at least 120fps-high settings. And I always run juiced content, so this happens all the time to me.
I notice you are not even close to be a endgame player/blaster. It is normal for you to be this comfortable with the current state of the game. When you actually get to discover the game you will change your mind.
