I am just a regular player with a decent amount of hours played.
I don't have that ''I'm a god because I play PoE2 all day everyday'' fever that have ''infected'' some fellas around.
That being said:
1. Mapping is as bad as an endgame activity can get. I know you are aware of the problems with the Towers being mandatory, so I won't spend time talking about it. This patch you made it worst by making maps ''harder'' for the same amount of rewards.
Let's say I want a map to be a rarity one, because rarity is still shadow-mandatory. Then I would be dealing (9 out of 10 times) with a map with chilled ground AND mobs dealing an insane amount of extra (X) cold damage. The result is a really boring and tedious slow walking character around the map that gets frozen with a single hit. Yes: I am using charms to be frozen immune, but charms won't do it in a map that has chilled ground. Before this I was able to get more rarity without the downside as a preffix. I was able to choose if I wanted a harder map to test my build or if I just wanted to enjoy the game.
The solution: deleting the mobs before they freeze you. Killing everything before it even gets a single frame of its actions against me. Meaning play OP meta builds. Meaning play PoE1 without the advantages PoE1 has.
2. Your chase items aren't meant to be found but bought. I don't know if I am playing a role, power fantasy game or a Casino-like/economy based one. Because I either gotta be extremely lucky or insanely rich to get some items.
The one thing that people like about Diablo 4 (have to be mentioned) is that their damn mythic items drop. You know which activities will drop those and you don't need to spend your life chasing them or selling the few good drops you get in order to buy the one you want.
Allow players to have fun. Make the ''chase items'' to actually drop, because the streamers videos jumping for a rare drop will get old soon enough. And that will be bad for your game if the hype of the players depend on it.
Stop treating players like ludopaths.
3. The performance is not even viable for the alpha phase of a game. This is a paid product at the moment. I understand that some performance improvement will not come until launch (if it does at all) but this game drops below 30 fps in a top-tier PC like mine. Performance has to become a priority as soon as now, please.
I don't want to sound rude, but the best thing PoE 2 has, and the reason most of the players keep going is because of its art, generally speaking: graphics, physics, music, FX, etc. That will also get old. If games like Last Epoch had this artistic level and its patches were being released at the same time as a PoE2 patch, you'd be seeing less than half of players count.
It is clear that people don't want ''meaningful combat'' and that ''the vision'' is not welcome by the majority of the players. Please do better with your game, because it is not that you don't have the resources, it is just a matter of making the right deicisions.

Their combat isn't "Meaningful" just because they claim it is. It's the same as POE 1 but somehow worse at the same time.
Most importantly -- nobody ever asked for "meaningful combat", and we vehemently hate "Combos"...
The Vision has -N E V E R- been welcomed by us. There are threads going back 10 years complaining about "The Vision". There was a T-Shirt contest held during their most hated POE 1 league and half the suggestions were just shitting on GGG, the best of which was a little chihuahua taking a fat crap and the poop was titled "The Vision" and even that ws like 4 years ago.
Friction -- The most hated feature. THey want friction everywhere, they use sand for sex lube apparently.

And where exactly do you buy them from? Do they materialize out of thin air? Are they sold by devs on the market?

I am sure you understood, because I'd be worried about your reading capacity if not. It is clear that I am pointing the fact that some items (like Spectrum jewels that I haven't seen after 60 or more Sekhemas runs) are only available in the trade league to buy.
Just to make an example, with all the afflictions we get in Sekhemas, we should AT LEAST have a guaranteed Time-Lost AND Spectrum or any other chase item. Sekhemas takes good relics, different rooms, and a lot of time to do if you aren't using a glitch like the blink one. Rewards there should be guaranteed. Same should apply for every activity. This is a casino otherwise.

Too bad your logical thinking got a dent in it, because with those guarented drops they need to disable SSF to non-SSF migration.
I bet you don't even realize that.

Sorry to tell you, but more people played 0.1 for longer than 0.3. The numbers speak for themselves. But I bet you will deny that.
Maybe you should accept that the majority doesn't want ezpz-zoomzoom gameplay.

It is so weird to look what they are doing.
I mean, it is a videogame, man. It should be fun from all angles. Yet they seem to be obssesed with making things tedious, just look at chilled ground effects: it is freaking everywhere, it is mandatory in order to juice maps for rarity, and it doesn't add difficulty, it just makes your run tedious like dropping frames every time you step into a chilled patch.
People keep comparing PoE2 with Elden Ring to defend those things, but in Elden Ring you are never being gear check. It is purely mechanical skills, something we will never have in an isometric ARPG like this. You can legit beat Elden Ring naked (LetMeSoloHer) but you won't beat PoE2 without gear that you can only buy from streamers-like players.

You're complaining about mixing, yet you're mixing yourself. El oh él.
Killing stuff and farming is also tedious. Why not remove that from the game aswell? Since the only "goal" is better loot, why not remove the tedious job of trying to find it?

Comparing the launch of an unkown product with the known version of it after almost a year is insane fanatism. The numbers don't need to be denied, they need to be analyzed. You clearly aren't doing it.
More people played 0.1 because they didn't know what the game was like. And the numbers kept high due to constant patching (which ended in PoE1s league delay and people didn't like it), but after watching the nerfs in 0.2, plus people knowing what the game was already like, it dropped by a lot. It went up for 0.3 because people saw Lightning Spear in 0.2.
You can keep thinking whatever you want, but if they want this game to succeed they will have to make it more ''POE1-like'' because people want to play a fun game, especially the people that have a job and a life, which are the ones that matter.

Nah, people did level 30 naked runs on uber bosses in POE 1, the only reason that hasn't happened in POE 2 yet is because they can't make it through the campaign and be level 30 haha.
That said... Ihave two characters at 92/93, both of them haven't had an upgrade since the acts... I 1 shot everything still, the gear makes zero difference whatsoever. THat's the biggest killer of fun -- there's no reason to keep playing, because there's no reason to get good gear, because nothing can get 1 shot any harder or faster...
Character is maxed out and fully geared by level 65-70
