What happened to Engaging Combat? Video Feedback.
" ah yes, like on page 25-26 of this very thread? |

" what is an actual experience that happened to you that pertains to the topic of this thread? where did you feel like the game stopped having combat, on what build, and specifically why is it different from something like A1 in 0.1? this is not "worming my way out of getting an answer" it's asking for a real one. loosely saying "the game needs better pacing" helps absolutely 0 people or GGG balance the game, it is just a sour sentiment. " If you want to progress your character to then be weak and play glorified tic-tac-toe with every enemy for the sake of combat integrity in the late game of an isometric ARPG, then I'm sure there are games like that in existence. We have just never heard of them, because nobody would ever be excited to play a game like that. The company's name is Grinding Gear Games. At a point, it becomes less about being the most skilled player ever, and more about grinding the gear. Dernière édition par AverBeg7#1689, le 21 sept. 2025 à 21:24:22

" I mean....none of this is true. I have acknowledged everything said to me, and offered counter-arguments. The one question that was NEVER answered was the one you quoted. And those "examples" you bring up are all of wildly different parts of the game, and different levels of "combat", and different builds and styles of play. That's sort of the point.... And you still didn't say exactly what "engaging combat" means to you in PoE 2....and you also made incorrect assumptions about other people too in exactly the same way you are accusing me and others of doing in this post. Do you not see that? The only semblance of an answer I got was from the OP when he said "Every rare should be like a mini-boss". THAT is something to work with, I acknowledged it, and refuted it. Because such a design can't possibly work in the setting of PoE 2. One thing would need to happen for this to be a viable design path: rares would need to FAR more rare, and drop a hell of a lot more loot....but then what happens to all that time between rares? And if they DIDN'T make that adjustment....what happens when you have 2, 3, and 4 rares on top of you all at once? What happens when you literally can't progress more than a few steps every 5 minutes? Where will the drops come from? How long will it take to get to the next stage of your character development? Is that TRULY going to be an engaging game experience, within the context of a loot-based arpg character builder game? "It's pretty clear to me that people are speaking of combat ..... on a second monitor while watching youtube".....really, that's clear to you? Then you haven't read anything written in this thread, and formed an opinion on what anyone might say back at you about 20 pages ago and ignored everything since. Starting anew....with PoE 2 Dernière édition par cowmoo275#3095, le 21 sept. 2025 à 21:29:34
