It's a matter of taste. Some prefers easy games, others hard games. I like hard games. Elden Ring was amazing.

Maybe Im just being stupid but I dont really see what the problem in that video is?
Your build is doing literally zero damage and you are for some reason recording this to prove something?
Your being swarmed by mobs, is that not whats supposed to happen when your build is doing so low damage you cant kill anything?
Or were you expecting to play a zero dps build and have every boss just fall over at the sight of you?

So it has been a while since i put up other video evidence but this fight is too funny "Vision" wise to resist. This char has 2d 13h played and I have intentionally resisted the meta skill to play the "Vision". The char uses Parry, Fangs of Frost, Glacial Lance, Cull the Weak and Elemental Sundering primarily. I could post me SLOGGING through the swamp but this is more humorous. My gear is what you would expect of SSF playthrough, all rares as good of stats as I can find, top notch spear with +2 all melee skills and 160 max Phys damage (and 1 to 45 fire because ... its the POE2 slot machine). I killed Jamanra in 3 tries (once died because of a one shot and once because of my kid distracting me). I am 3 levels higher than the zone.
Keep in mind this is how GGG / Tencent WANTS US TO PLAY. All of you using screen clear skills will be nerfed. They want everyone to be playing like this. Every league, every char.

So after getting into it with Rootdredge, I thought this is too funny so I respawned at checkpoint and recorded. This guy spawns minions every few seconds or so and seemingly has an unlimited number. He also does an unparryable ground slam and an unparryable explosive crag that tracks you. I thought I would show a lot of what doesnt work because of the naysayers in the previous thread.
01:10 Because people said "Skill issue, focus on boss" in last thread I started doing that about but you can see that unless I want to stand in the middle of a pack of 40 enemies hitting him, and also then I wont see the ground effect slam or explosive crags, I cant focus on the boss. I MUST kill the trash. In the meantime you can see crags are hitting me for 3/4 of my life. He keeps spawning minions constantly and without limit and faster than I can kill them.
2:38 Lets see how fast he can build minions? Within 30 seconds they fill the "arena" By 03:11 its clear his minions are unlimited and i have screen of whites to deal with. But hey only whites should be no problem right? Uh No. I clear them and resume focus on the boss,
04:11 within the span of one second 3 of the four crags on the scree explode with no chance to evade and I die. Note that at the time I had no idea why, I had to look at the footage after.
05:06 Another death occurs with a one shot kill. Even in slow motion frame by frame I cant figure out what did it.
05:50 Something takes most of my health out (again not visible even in slowmo) and a crag, which blends in nicely blows and finishes me.
06:07 I am back on the boss but by 0617 he already has enough minions to push me off. White minions but they take TIME to kill. Trying to whittle them down knowing the hulks can take me out in 2 hits, by 06:47 the number of enemies on the screen is ridiculous.
06:57 We will try to parry (I know this wont work, I am demonstrating for GGG). By 06:59 I have no parried and been hit several times, roll out parry wont work because its a useless skill like Raise Shield. Oh and now the whole screen is full of minions.
08:07 I have spent the last two minutes just clearing minions, any damage to the boss was incidental but now I am back on the boss. I start hitting him and 6 crags on the screen zero in on me and I am dead in 5 seconds.
09:13 While clearing minions four crags stacked on top of each other blow up and take me out in one shot from full life and shield.
10:06 There are already probably more than 50 minions on the screen. Each white takes 4 to 5 hits to kill with glacial lance. I dare not stop, I will die, I dare not hit the boss, I will die. I simply circle the arena and throw throw throw. Every time I try to grab some frenzy charges with Cull The Weak I risk death to unseen crag explosions.
11:41 After 2 min clearing minions, back on RootDredge. but only 3 seconds later I have to abort hitting him to clear minions spawning every couple of seconds including elite minions.
16:00 After spending all my time clearing minions constantly and moistly abandoning melee I finally get him. He drops a Regal Orb (I have 30 in the vault) and a bunch of junk.
Conclusion:
Every fight moving through this zone is a mini version of this. Slog fest doesn't even cover it. This is why players play lightning spear. My friend (also 54 years old) cleared this zone in 15 minutes with lightning spear. The zone is balance for lightning spear yet GGG / TenCent want us to play "Meaningful Combat" Like what I just showed you. They don't like your screen clear builds and as they did in the previous patch they will nerf them all when the 0.3.0 patch comes out. They think this pace with 2h per zone and a total slog fest will keep you all coming back for more constantly loving the slog fest.
I guess for some people it will, but since thy have lost 95% of players since EA launch, those of you who think this is good are in the VAST minority and most of you are probably playing a build that is about to be nerfed. When they finally get all the screen clear builds nerfed this is how it will look for everyone.

Taking into account your build doing close to no damage you are "forced" to interact with... mechanics. All your deaths are caused by... physical damage and the mighty DETONATE DEAD. Very few builds survive detonate dead, is a feature carried over from Path of Exile 1, you are not supposed to tank it, you are supposed to avoid it (by distancing yourself from it).
You cannot have the expectation to actually tank every boss' skills, especially the ones that are well telegraphed.
You may have wanted to prove some kind of slow, or maybe unbalanced boss damage or skill set, but it is just gameplay issue here. Objectively you barely dodge those orbs, they are not instant, they come towards you and have a bit of delay before detonating. As a strategy you can run through them and will trigger their delay and then they will detonate, but you will survive because you are not in their area of effect.
Glowing bodies, again, this is a good indicator that if you stand in that you literally die unless you have some optimal build. Is not instant, it takes time for it to detonate, enough time for you to back away or literally change position.
Is best for you, or in general when want to prove a point, to actually have your "proof" be attributed to those "bad game design", "bugs", "unbalance", "lack of options" claims, and not one that is clearly derived from poor game knowledge or poor gameplay.

Your analysis is bonkers. When you are in the fight to see those cragws blending in with them and spot them to avoid them blowing up on you is nearly impossible. Since the whole arena had mobs, to avoid that is impossible. The build had as much damage as possible given the equipment available at that level without trade.
So its a skill issue huh? Lets see your URL to your video of this. Same core skills, show your level, you passive tree and your equipment in one cut or we will know you are full of it, being over leveled or over geared from what is possible; i.e. cheating because you don't want to admit you are wrong. If you don't then your arguments hold no merit. Run up a cold huntress, prove me wrong. For a gamer GOD like you that should be easy.

TenCent owns 100% of grinding gear games and has a long history of games that are only playable with MTX whales. Instead of making games with broad appeal they dont care if 95% quit so long as the rest of the whales spend thousands on MTX. To make that happen you have to have a game that is free but near unplayable as a free game.

I am guessing you play lightning spear? No no you dont understand. Its YOUR build that they want to get rid of. I am playing what they expect you to play with the interractions they put in. Glacial lance is a mild tickle without a frenzy charge. Fangs of frost does little unless you parry. The point was to show everyone THIS IS WHAT GGG WANTS.
If you have a build like lightning spear or some other corner case, they will nerf you to oblivion. They did t he same in the 0.2.0 patch. EVERY SINGLE meta build in that patch was rendered to be exactly this. You can still play spark but you wont do jack for damage.
The point of the post is that this is what they want. Its important to understand and read the whole OP.

Again, is impossible because you are barely reactive, you literally showed it in your video, you stood still or dashed into them, are you framing personal lack of attention to your surroundings (in game) as a game issue?
Someone else already provided you with some tips to make your build better, which invalidates your claim that you had the best obtainable damage at that level, even in a non-trade scenario. You dismissed those tips and, again, demanded a video to prove it.
Here, you demand a video of proof again, dismissing the causes I provided for your deaths, have you even taken into consideration that what I said are actually the reasons of your deaths?
With how you choose to interact with people here seems that you are not up to discussions on potential game issues, bugs, or some other things, but rather you are trying to impose your point of view.
Someone came with some build changes, I came with death causes, you dismissed them, nor me nor the other person is bound to provide you with those "proof videos", and even if we actually (or I) provide them, will you honestly even take them into account and "change" or reason? I am inclined that you won't.

This all makes sense. Now I know why you really dislike POE 2...you are just really bad mechanically for this type of game. 100% POE 1 is going to be more your speed.
