Path of Exile 2 - Upcoming Changes

RUE IS A CAT, QUIN IS A RAT, FUB IS A GOONER
Wait you are banning ppl who exploited a bug in an Early Access game? C'mon. I haven't made it to endgame yet, but I can't say if I found an exploit, I wouldn't take advantage of it. This is silly, let them play.

Did u ban the dev and tester from work who let that exploit slip into the product?

Lazy people always pick the path of least resistance. That's why number of those paths need to be reduced ideally to zero.

There is PoE 1 for 1-button zoom zoom lovers.

Just because you enjoy something doesn't mean you're lazy. That's just a silly argument trying to gaslight players who disagree with you.

Sure if you'd like all those players to go play PoE 1 then by all means have GGG stop diverting resources away from it and watch PoE 2 die a slow death. 45% of the players play Amazon and 80% of them play Lightning Spear. It's quite obvious what the players want and enjoy, ignoring that would be quite dumb as a developer.

Making combos optional but rewarding is the compromise that allows both camps to be able to chose how they want to play. You just seem scared that too many don't agree with how you want the game to play...or you're so insecure that you can't resist the urge to play the one-button builds if they exist.

I'm not trying to gaslight anyone. People nowadays are lazy, that's it. They want everything as fast as possible with minimal effort. That's why 1-button zoom zoom gameplay is praised by them so much. But it's not fun when those builds ruin economy or when you join random people and everyone plays the same build which deletes screens of mobs in seconds. And it's even less fun when the game is balanced around those builds (that's why I stopped with PoE 1).
The rare change is bad. It reduces engagement.

The change I would like to see is that rares pop up on your mini map when you get close to them. Similar to how map content works in poe1. I'd like to see the detection range increase based on light radius. If the radius factor was generous enough it would make the stat beneficial. If it is too generous it would make it mandatory. While if it wasn't generous enough then it would continue to be passed up.
Too little, too late.

At this point, the problem is your community and their attitude towards those who are upset, as well as your own attitude as a company towards the players who are upset.

Some people had valid crash-outs. Some people didn't. But the entire PoE2 community who stayed by your side decided to be pieces of human garbage in their attitude towards their fellow players. If someone didn't agree with the nerfs 100%, it was an invitation for other players to apparently abuse and debase them in various ways.

Unacceptable, toxic community led by a team of bad developers. I'll miss the days when GGG wasn't Tencent's whipping boy.
poe 2 is coming, it's not today yet

I'm not sure if I agree with the way they handled the Ritual "exploit". It sounds like to me GGG made a mistake that allowed the math for Ritual to line up in such a way that this was an unintended consequence on GGG's part. Doesn't sound like a bug so much as they allowed this to occur based on the newly added mechanics. I am not a fan of developers banning players for playing a game in a way that the game allows for. They were not using outside tools to attempt to break the game to their advantage they took the rules of the game they were presented with and minmaxed it, which is literally what this game is about.

I'm sure many many people will disagree with me, but I do not like the idea of punishing players for playing the game within the constraints of what the developer created and they just aren't happy about it.

bro, stop making excuses for those who got banned. They didn't got banned for discovering the exploit, they got ban for abusing it. If you find a bug you are supposed to report it, not milk it to gain a shit load of mirrors pretending is "intended" to let you do that.

ARPGs are designed around the concept of min-maxing in character development. Quite literally the point is to reduce effort and maximize output. Calling the participation in that process 'lazy' is implying that participating in the game as the game is intended and the efforts associated with getting to that point are lazy which is just flat out inaccurate.

I can't believe Reddit has successfully gaslit people into thinking PoE1 is anything but a bloated mess with a trivial uninteresting campaign.

Why would you want the campaign not to be challenging in the first week of a league? When did people get so entitled and refuse any kind of obstacle to their progression? It only makes breaking through feel better.

I feel bad for Jonathan that he has to deal with such an uneducated and shortsighted fanbase.
