poe 2 is a failed successor where the good systems are dropped or replaced with terrible ideas. I have many irl friends who used to play poe 1, and literally, I don't know a single person who thinks poe 2 is, or can be, an improvement over poe 1 unless the game gets multiple major overhauls

don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game. but it's worse than poe 1, diablo 3, grim dawn and last epoch, which means it's kinda pointless to play this atm

I haven't enabled any game's public chat since Xbox introduced voice chat and I learned that the world is full of racist and foul-mouthed degenerates that drown out most normal people.

I'll turn on trade when I want to sell something, and then turn it back off again.

I hear ya though on Self Found, you have to trade to get good gear and that's sad. They should implement a crafting system/.

I agree with this. POE1 Still remains the best ARPG out there but when POE2 falls off on users they will want to move poeple to POE2 forfinancial reasons and not support both games. It is inevitable. And since bean counters and accountants are making the gameplay decisions here they will favor the "new crowd" that they feel they can milk better.

They could have made a successor that ironed out all of the bad issues with POE1 and made it an amazing game but clearly TenCent is now calling the shots and I doubt their exec has even played POE1 or POE2.

Its a shame really.

As for me, I am looking forward to Path 8 on BG3 and for all ARPGs I am din a wait and see mode. Diablo 4 is totally ruined and I wasted my $ there. Last Epoch has promise but will never gain traction with its currrent rough graphics and confusing gameplay. Havent played Grim Dawn. Dragonkin looks like a possibility.

I REALLY REALLY wish AAA studios and producers would stop buying independent games and then proceeding to F them up royally.

i like poe2 better than poe1 by a long shot. good thing they are keeping both games running so you can pick which one you want to play.

being able to craft all your gear with ease defeats the value of item drops. i'm surprised how many people want ARPGs to be like Minecraft

This is so utterly bizarre that you would dislike a game because one class is temporarily worse than others during the early access period. 2 of the best builds in EA are melee (invoker / gemling) so don't act like melee is hard done by. There are countless imbalances that you can expect to be sorted out over time, like how cold and fire sorcs are nowhere near as powerful as lightning.

Something tells me we will see a whole bunch of these "ill be playing other games" types back playing POE2 by 3rd quarter of this year..

I had a high Level warrior in LastEpoch with a power like Hurricane 2 years ago.

He was much fun but the game performance was horrible. 90% FPS drop

I will test Last Epoch again soon.
