Why All the Hate?
" I agree many people use the anonymity of the internet to spout hate and nonsense and thats giving governments all the excuse they need to bring in draconion laws where you will need to pay or be identified to use a service, but that's a whole other can of worms. The forums are specifically there to post what you think and that includes frustrations, thats good for a game rather than quit someone may vent on the forum release some frustration and get back to playing. As for Early Acess, i'm of an age when beta tests where a thing. Sometimes you were invited sometimes it was open, but always free. I have never paid for this type of access as I am totally against it and the shoddy practices it could encourage. I broke this rule for PoE2 as i read good things about the devs, so far i am disappointed, i feel they havent fulfilled the promises they made and will never again pay for EA There's hope for the future, i want the devs to succeed deliver a spanking finished game and i will happily reward them by opening my wallet again Until them...well... |

" I see. I don't know what "good things" you read about. GGG is famous for their communication with the community, I give you that. It was better in the past, but still a positive point I guess. On the other hand, it is also famous for a rushing development and releasing undercooked/broken patches for each 3-month league while they earn most of their money on "support packs" during pre-release hype. Sometime even at the end of the league, they still don't find a good fix. PoE2 will be good, and probably better than PoE1, but anyone that expects it to be reached before a year or two is being naive in my opinion. |

" Most of HATE comes from XP penalty. that's idea is completely broken and bad. |

" Is this like, sarcasm? |

" Of course not. Obviously they aren't in their brightest moment now, but back in the Chris and Bex era, it wasn't rare for even random posts on Reddit getting answers from GGG staff. Even Mark used to gives some deep knowledge about some weird mechanics sometimes there (https://www.reddit.com/user/Mark_GGG/). |

" "Good old times" is a lovely idea, but doesn't matter when their current policy is to not communicate at all, and ignore all the feedback. Or should I say, tencent policy. |

" Have you been on game forums? Any forum? Negativity usually reigns supreme. Go read the reviews of the top restaurants in the world. You will still find people 1 star bashing them. As it stands, I think the EA has been fun. I have played around 120 hours and am still playing here and there even tho I did take a break somewhere in there. Can't wait for the next update. I do obviously think stuff needs worked on but once all the classes are in and some time, I think this game will end up being awesome. |

The first couple of days of play are engaging and kind of tactical. Basically the mini game is the only thing that has been accurately advertise lol. Campaign being the short mini game.

" True, but what is your point? I don't get it. |

In my mind, PoE 2 was supposed to be the flagship for the next generation of ARPG.
I had high expectations in terms of game mechanics and I was pretty disappointed to see that it was just PoE 1 mechanics with some pretty graphics. No imagination at all. All they are gonna do is re-release again : blight, heist, harvest, incursion, etc and use the lore as an excuse to redo the same thing. I'm the one to blame for such delusion, I had too much expectations and I didn't realise how small of a studio was GGG. |
