Naming characters Feedback

I like the naming how it is.

That's a good point.

Personally, I wouldn't mind if the first one who created the name would remain in the original version like "JakkerONAIR" stays "JakkerONAIR" no matter how many take the name too, but everyone else would get the ID like "JakkerONAIR#0815" or "JakkerONAIR#1234".

that could work too, as long as i don't have to see my own #id :D

To the extent that GGG still gives two hoots in hard vacuum about any commitments they may have made in the past, this is unlikely to change, because they made the decision to commit to this naming format, and many players have come to rely on it always being that way. That said, there are resources to help with character naming, so long as you're interested in going off the beaten path.

That is what you got with a team lazy to change things and insist everything is part of a vision.

Unique tag under an account is not something new. It has been done many times in many games. Somehow we are to believe that Path of Exile 2 coding is so fragile and complex that any changes will break the system.

The problem is not having a unique character name, the problem has been losing the unique account name and treating us like numbers. Now all we need is for them to be tattooed on our skin.

I've really got to hand it to our forum trolls. I never thought they'd stoop so low as to come out in defense of having to name your characters "alkfdslk" and "gfhajlkajds" but here we are.

Yes, it's a bit annoying.
Just try your name and add a title, honorific or number.
Like Clubdude the Great, Clubdude I, Sir Clubdude, Clubdude of Myr... or just a number .

I'd prefer if names hadn't to be unique, too. But for me it's usually not a big deal to find a name. Even without titles and stuff.

There's one very good reason why this would be a horrible idea.

had already had a discussion with an other one in this thread

you are yummysushipjs#7638 and if you are a JohnWick, youwill be seen as JohnWicks#7638 to others who see you write
and if you get scammed by NOT looking at the items you trade for, im sorry to say, that is your own fault
you can not click trade IF you have not moused over the item, the fault would be your own if u managed to get scammed that way
