why arent more allowed to be named the same? we got a unique account and character ID, so character names shouldnt be the limit

very surprised on Day 1 the name I wanted to use was already taken and we had to use a unique name |

Honestly, I think you're exaggerating a bit. I've made 3 characters and never had an issue getting something acceptable inside of a couple minutes. Yeah you might not get the *exact* name you wanted, but the devs have bigger fish to fry.

It's bad. We all know it's bad. GGG's just too lazy to fix it.
The game's not even out yet and it's already difficult to find a name. Imagine 2 years from now. New players will spend their first 10 minutes in the game trying to find a name they don't hate. Nothing breaks immersion faster than having to name your character LOLOCTOPUSSSS before you even log in. Not a very fun or exciting first impression.
