EXTREAMLY OBVIOUS QOL GGG MISSED
" From the feeling of wanting to enjoy the entirety of the game? I mean when you buy a game and you like it. You would like to be able to enjoy it fully without it feeling like a chore because of the depth of the game? You know, casualy enjoying a game, not make it a competition. Why does it have to be hard gated within layer and layer of artificial longevity? Grindy game aren`t usually league type game to begin off Imo. Take exemple all MMORPG, or game like Warframe and Destiny 2. Even Borderlands series end game is more accessible than PoE2 and it's still quite challenging but doable for most people. |

^but there is nothing rushing you forward....that's the point. You CAN enjoy everything the game has to offer: at your own pace. It isn't going anywhere. A league isn't a hard time limit for anyone. Your progress and lessons and characters are NOT erased.
When you buy a game, you don't buy it knowing the precise amount of time it'll take you to complete, do you? You buy it because it looks fun and you WANT to experience all it has to offer. "without it feeling like a chore": if it EVER feels like a chore...then its not the game for you. That is a very personal feeling, and is different for every single individual interacting with any type of game. This game is an arpg, grinding loot game, created by a company literally called Grinding Gear Games. If grinding is a chore for you....then I'm not entirely sure why you would even be playing this game in the first place? Also......its free. You aren't buying the game at all. If you are talking EA, that was a choice. The game WILL be free at full release. Another unforced decision. Starting anew....with PoE 2 Dernière édition par cowmoo275#3095, le 8 févr. 2025 23:12:19

" That's the thing tought. It does goes somewhere. The people playing, they leave you alone for the new league. The items that you can buy or sell via trade, also leave you because people leave for the new league. The new fun mechanic that you want to try like everyone else, new league also. So even if you want to go at your pace, if you want to fully enjoy it you are still limited to the league switch time frame to finish everything. Also you are right, but when you buy a new game and you want to complete it. Your save file doesn't deleted themself at each 3 month either. I mean yea, I could just play standard league if I wanted. But it's more fun to play with guildies and other peoples because that's where most people are playing. In the end, it's just a matter of point of view. And we can agree to disagree. |

So... back to the original post.. are we in agreement then that 1 portal should stay open after completion of a map? Lol.. the point kinda got lost in the weeds. Also my other suggestion was to have more map zoom. I think we can agree on that.

" I mean.....it didn't get lost at all. It was responded to for the first 2.5 pages. And no one was in agreement lol. What would more map zoom accomplish? Starting anew....with PoE 2

" You guys were debating over economy.. yes the point got lost. I don't care about all that. I like to ID and craft on white and blues. I could care less if its not the most efficient way of making currency. Its how I like to play. And I know I'm not the only one. Having a portal stay open would literally hurt Noone and it would be easy to implement. What would more map zoom accomplish? Well sir. I'm not sure how much mapping you have done but when u get 100s and 100s of maps deep it would be nice to be able to see where u have been. Maybe I want to pick a path I started b4 and continue down it. I have paths cut in going every direction. Also when you switch it up and do a few maps in an area that is different and then come back to an area it's almost impossible to find your way. We need to be able to zoom all the way out so I can see where on the map I am. Why wouldn't you want that? It is early access my guy. This is why they have the feedback forum. So people can point out stuff like this to help them make their game better. |

I honestly don't understand why there would be any push back on these 2 qol changes I suggested. I Can not see any downside to either 1. Can anyone give me a reason it would be a bad idea to have a portal stay open upon map completion or have way more map zoom?

Gotta pick what you want the most. Having a limited number of portals has been the staple from Poe 1. Choose what you want and lose the rest.

" So your answer is that i have to choose because why? Because it was that way in poe 1? pick what i want the most? I'm not asking for much here.. I see A LOT of people asking for wayyy more. Where is the logic here? i feel like people just come here to say no to feedback just to be a naysayer. If poe 2 was in black and white and i came here asking for it to be in color you would be here saying no because I can't have everything i want.. lol that isn't what this forum is for.. again.. give me a good reason having a portal stay open after map completion is a bad idea.. and or a good reason we can't have more map zoom.. |

It's the only real player choice offered in the game. You can't choose how to craft, or what build to play really, so...how about you choose what loot to not pick up and just lose?
Fun right? Right? Literally every part of this game the devs asked themselves "how can we tweak this to limit/punish players?" and then they implemented every idea that hit the table. |
