i rather not have any small passives on surfcaster, this is literally a downside

Whisperer, the most OP class, have 10% attack damage and 6% mana. Surfer, decent class, but you made it garbage with small nodes. Fix it please.

Surfcaster small nodes?? are you serious? chasing mobs now?

Was deciding to play surfcaster or ancestral commander for the event.
But once the small nodes released, thinking to drop surfcaster, I dun mind the 5% monster flee, but that rarity of fish?

Poe 1 players crying again aren't we? Why every thread of Poe 1 updates is filled with Poe 1 crybabies writing "QQ its so useless now" "we want it more powerfull QQ" and so on... ffs if you want to play nobrain game just go play diablo 4. It must be so frustrating for GGG to see all the crying from players in every post. What gaming comes to these days jeez...

GGG really went out and not only gave us Surfers blanks for small nodes but even somewhat of a downside (I know flee affects only normals and magic mobs which should blow up instantly blah blah). I understand the speed and damage is slightly on the strong side. But let's be real - surfer is going to be a t16 blaster, good luck getting gim into harder content like t17 and ubers within the first few weeks. And by the time you're decked out 1 month event is over (if it's not extended). The biggest problem for me is not that it's 4 dead passive nodes - it's the feelsbad moment of having to take it (similar to behemoth) in a game where efficiency is king and the most satisfying thing to do. I'm not asking for much - a little bit of defence wouldn't make a hige difference, it would just make me feel way better. And that's what it's all about - feeling good while playing right? Or maybe I'm coping too hard..

So hyped! I'm still rolling surfcaster, and honestly love that they used the small nodes as tuning knobs for making some OP (surf) less good and some really strong. Like 40% global defense on small nodes for antiquarian??? Insane!

All in all going to be a fun 1 month, and probably fun private league after.

As someone who cares more about build diversity over anything else, this is more fun than a genuine new league for me

If you think the meta will be any different without any balance patch, you're fooling yourself.

It's gonna be the same OP skills dominating all over again. A league without any balance patch sucks, which is why the past 3 years of leagues were boring af.

What's the problem with Flee? White and blue monsters are 1 shot or frozen anyways and yellow/unique monsters are immune to flee.

Heister Paladin league start it is. Heist is pretty atlas tree agnostic (no scarabs for it, passives are pretty bad) yet it provides very consisent income even without hitting a helical or simplex.

And then envy + wolfie 3-hour campaign on ranger and make insane whisperer mana stacker.

And then perhaps some crazy Vaal build with the chaos ascendancy.

Seems like a you problem.

Just play SSF and the game is fun again. No need to worry about who has the best build. Any skill can do any content if you give it enough love.
