🏚️ 💰 WE NEED AUCTION HOUSE NOT TRADES!!!

all in for AH. why? 1) i cant be in game 24/7 to monitor whispers and wait till someone messages me. i play 1-2h a day. 2) i wanted to buy an item today for 1 ex. i sat there sending messages to sellers for 1h. guess how many replied and sold me item i needed? answer is - 0. no one replied to any of whispers.

I don’t care about some manifesto. This thread will be active until we get what all players want

Oh FO. There's a good reason why there's no AH. Go play diablo if you like it so much.

Good reason? Is that the bots, scammers, flippers and real money currency traders that don't happen using regulated marketplaces or "auction houses"?

"There's good reason" isn't good enough reasoning. Sometimes things Lack a reason as there is always reasons if you ask me. Didn't you know there is a good reason? Maybe there is a reason for that? Well now we will never no the reason.

Meme "because reasons" - Definition, see above.

No, the good reason is reducing the amount of items on the market. "I can't buy an item i want because nobody answers" is intended and not a flaw. But even as it is now, trade already trivializes the game too much. I don't want AH and it's not something "all players want".

Also the notion that bots and RMT don't exist with AHs is absolutely ridiculous.

auction house would be a huge boost to trading efficiency
I'm all for an Auction House, but I'm also blessed with the knowledge of getting to live thru and play thru, what it did to D3 and other games. What you need to understand is what an auction house actually provides.

It provides an easier way to gain access to things YOU would otherwise have a difficult time getting. I always abuse them when I'm starting out to get ahead of the competition, and I abuse them once I am ahead to STAY ahead.

IN a game that wants you constantly searching for the NEXT BEST THING, What purpose would helping you easily acquiring the next best thing serve? This game does NOT want you to acquire the thing. It wants you to CHASE IT! All the while thinking you are special and you CAN get it..

People however, have found a way around that chase. In the form of Auction houses and trade websites OUTSIDE the GAMES control. These things ARE there, you just aren't aware of them, and you could very easily get scammed. They also work beautifully when used correctly.
Nobody is asking for a real money auction house. This isn't D3.

Yeah it is this gaslighting nonsense in every counter argument that actually made me in favor of a proper controlled in game marketplace.

I simply want a fair trade system that doesn't involve dealing with other players unnecessarily, it is this interaction where 90% of the scamming and illegal currency selling takes place.

You cannot sell currency if there are limited means in game to transfer currency to a player. In this case someone "giving away" a thousand divines a day would stick out like a supernova on the server statistics. Anyone buying in game currency for $$$ is banned (for a period of time) along with the seller (permanently). Job done.

Giving your mate 2 divines once to buy something isn't going to flag. Someone giving 30 different random people 10-20-5-40 divs will flag in seconds. In fact GGG can pick up any builds (popular or not) that are fun and nerf them in every patch but they cannot find people who literally have websites selling POE currency that advertise though google if you do 1 youtube search for information on POE 2.

GGG - We cannot possibly, it is difficult, it is.....BS GGG. Is it the whales that buy currency for $$$ and by proxy "support packs"? Seems like those arguing for "the bestest trade system in ever" seem to have purchased every support pack in game while the rest of the players are just to populate the servers to be scammed so whales can buy the currency, get the best gear and get dopamine hits for cash. Then say git gud with their 100 hours playtime and current meta 3 mirror build.

I cannot fathom why the most convoluted trade system history is somehow "better" than a simple marketplace. You need multiple 3rd party apps to even value your gear. No sorry, not buying it as my birth certificate doesn't have yesterdays date on it.

Always wondered why GGG make everything so convoluted.

It's simple. The game favors botters and scammers. The current trade system that is run through a website OUTSIDE of the game is MUCH easier to traverse with a bot program than something embedded within the game itself.

It is also much easier to price-fix with a system like this since you literally don't have to risk anything at all, just post your item wayyyyy below its value and never respond to anyone asking to trade for it, price fixed.

The lack of a "Buyout" option also leaves the door wide open for scammers swapping out the item with something that has a similar graphic but far less value, again favoring the scammer over the player.

The only reason I can think of to implement an idea that is literally the worst conception of a trade system ever invented is to specifically benefit a certain group of people who can use that system better. There has never been any other game where you have had to leave the game itself in order to initiate a trade, and there likely never will be.

Not to mention the poor console players trying to navigate a website with their controller....FBM

Amen to this 🙌🏽
Another reason we need Auction House is to prevent noobs constantly asking for Price Check in chat game like they don't know how to use Trade Website.

All these stupid questions about price check can be avoided if in-Game we would have a proper working Auction House
