1 Portal system is SHIT

This is terrible, with all after death's stuff, unplayeble.

Change this system for NORMAL 6 portal like in PoE 1

I also dislike the current way maps work with the 1 portal per map. But I'm willing to give it time to see how it goes.

Most likely not gonna change my mind. I get the point of getting punished due to death, but you need to pick 1, either lose a good chunck of your xp or lose the map, not both.

This stops player progression overall and you end up getting frustrated and quitting the game, you can't level up, you can't re-try the rewards for the map and basically you're weaker than when you started the map.

Before the comments git good start, while I do enjoy a challenge I also don't want to be the number 1 player in the ladder, mistakes and life happens and I just wanna enjoy the game.

I'm not saying I should be able to do pinacle bosses if I don't invest the time to do them, but does the game really need to be this punishing across the board?
Just reached maps, I didn't thought there is a worse implementation than sanctum/ultimatum as ascendancies...But yet I am proven wrong :))...Good job GGG, if this go on for 6 month's you will have 5k players playing the game...The "git good" veterans with the badge of honor on their chest in their empty game.

Agreed, I hate all "one and done" mechanics.
poe1 vet and i have stopped playing and have no drive to take the 2ed toon i made to maps because of how bad gearing and the mapping system is. not even a bad toon for low tier mapping 2.5k EHP and 70% evasion on a caster res is trash but crafting is not what the interviews threaded it as and seems any player control has been stripped vs 1. 1 had a bloated crafting system yes but we had options to make sure even average players could craft a gear upgrade. heck in 1 i crafted most of my gear and rarely used trade unless i got unlucky for a 6 link near maps. dont get me started on the linking issues in 2 corrupting for a 5 link should not be the norm.
1 death per map is going to be the death of this game.
Xp penality and tons of one shots is too punishing and the player base will evetually drop likes rocks.
I was having so much fun in the campaign and once I started maps it was so frustrating. Too many one shots that you cant even see. Its a terrible system that they need to change.
1 death per map would be acceptable if they removed all of the barely-visible one-shot nonsense and on-death one shot nonsense and chaos damage white mob one shot nonsense and vaal ghosts who freeze you for 10 years with one spell nonsense and... the list goes on.

If they didn't have dozens of bullshit mechanics that can one-shot you in every map they could do one portal. Right now it's like they took POE 1 map balance created for 6 deaths and just crammed it into the new game without any balance adjustment.

AND then there's the fact that it burns all the modifiers on the map including your precursor tablets. I wouldn't mind there being punishing penalties for death if the content was better tuned without all the bullshit mechanics and I wouldn't mind all the overtuned bullshit mechanics if death wasn't punishing. Combining the two is borderline unplayable.

It's not sh***, the idea is great. But as mentioned above me stuff like the on death chaos explosion should be removed from the game. I had it spawn on top of me with the rare being all across the screen, it is just bs and in trial of sekhema it happened, too, for around -1k honor. Remove the huge on death explosions plz GGG!

i 76 max res 5k ES 3.8k HP 90 lvl, and FAST as fuck WOLF with mana siphone kill me for 1 second i had no chance(i cant run from it, becouse its move 5x of me, and i cant see him from distance becouse its jump on you from the sceen)

and i lose 10% 90lvl its toooooo much and i lose map wich cost 8ex
