Set items on POE ??

Hi all you folks¡¡
As a D2 fan, it´s a main question to devs...
Perhaps it's not necessary for POE to clone these items class....but I will love it if it's on devs thoughts...
Asking you for your opinions: Set item? Thumbs up or down?

The devs decided not to add set items because they feel it penalizes players from switching gear, basically the devs want people to make/find their own gear and swap it out when they find something better. Not keep a whole set because of a bonus it gives
Shoep - Default league Ranger
Peohs - Any other class or character i play.
Jhuvik - My Marauder
Merialeth - My witch
Sets may come sometime in the future but they would undoubtedly work very differently than they did in D2. Sets in D2 had some very big problems with the way they functioned and how they affected gameplay.

In short: They sucked. :P

Set items can never be a bad thing as long its balanced.
I'll be honest I did like set items they always sold well, look at Sigon's highly desirable, including other sets with nice perks.

Again should follow simular guidelines of not being better then the best rares, and not better then uniques, but still offering some of the nice perks.

With players able to craft and augment a piece of equipment quite a bit, it'd be hard to judge what type of things a player may be using at any given time, so balancing a set of equipment could prove rather hard.
Thx for answers mates¡¡ I understand the essence of your points of view.....But like other folk said: a balancing set could improve the sense of inmersion in the whole game as all of us felt in D2 for years..... ;)
They could also create unique items with a same theme giving them a hidden bonus when worn together.

There is no need to copy the set item exactly.
Life is pleasant. Death is peaceful. It's the transition that's troublesome.

Hardcore to the bone.
Totally agree with you mate¡¡¡ Thumbs UP for your idea¡¡¡ :)
