I am level 23.I am going along happily leveling decided to go kill Kraityn.I am in a party when i get to Kraityn we all decide to kill him. Then this level 52 guys decides he will help Kraityn, then guess what happens. HE SMASHES US. he is a lvl 52 marauder and he just one shots me and the other 4 people in the party. Since we are all in Hardcore league we all die :(. My problem is that this is extremely unfair. It should not be allowed for a level 52 to help Kraityn then kill everyone in the party. 5 poor people (including me) just lost their level 19-24 hardcore characters. I appreciate it if GGG could make this a bit more fair or give us some warning before a level 52 smashes me.

Some warning?

It's plainly written in text. If you can read.

I love killing people on hardcore in bandits.

So many people are so dumb.
The rest of the 'end-game' content will be available along with a heap of new stuff when the game launches in a few months time. From what I've seen it's going to be awesome. - Michael_GGG

Please teach me your ways, Speedleveling-sama. I want to win a Demigod.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
"It's just so easily abusable, it's practically begging to be abused with how it works. The only real way of avoiding it is not grouping with strangers when doing the bandits(on hc at least). That's just silly and will always ruin the experience of new players."

That requires said new player to choose HC as their first character,

figure out and get into the party system as they reach the bandit quest,

end up in a party with someone dedicated to PKing,

not actually reading the very text line you have to make your choice in.

Which makes me wonder, why are you, who is completely new to the game, choosing the lose-everything-on-death path and recklessly choosing to group with people you don't know to do a quest you know nothing about and not reading the text? NEVER go into any game, nevermind a multiplayer, nevermind with the most dangerous setting on, with that mentality!

Or, in the least, if you DO do this, be willing to laugh at the result (*realizes he recklessly joined a party to do a bandit quest and didn't pay attention to the very text he paniced over first time he read it solo. Not sure if it was a trap given he accidentally Portaled to town instead and YES I managed to confuse 'press a button' with 'open inventory, right click on item, left click on ground'.)
There's a fraction of players who like consistency and predictability: killing boss X will yield item Y.

This game really isn't for people like that.

This game is for people who'll do the same area over and again because they know..., a Mirror can drop anywhere, anytime. - CharanJaydemyr

Yeah, you seem a pretty smart guy.

sorry you learned about the "feature" the hard way but playing hc normally means you're familiar with the game and read in the forum at least once a week.

player kills in bandits quest happen on a regular basis and there's nothing wrong with that. sure it's not fair but it could have turned the other way around and he could have been killed if you weren't that surprised.

just build another hc char and go for revenge.

age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

30 minutes for lvl 23... I guess you are the best PoE player ever then.

In 1 hour races, people are at lvl 12=13 in 30minutes.
IGN: Smashed
Hmmm do you guys realise AthenaUS didnt say anything about races.... or are you just trolling ?

How to get a char to ~23 in 30 mins:

1. Kill Hillock, grab uniques, open Waterfall
2. Invite friend get wp Ledge
3. Grind a bit while friend runs to Brutus
4. Tp, Tp, Brutus dead, tp, wp to ledge
5. Grind a bit while friend runs to merveil
6. tp, tp, Merveil dead, go forest
7. Grind...
