Explain Eldritch Battery better

This is the total of the wiki page: "Converts all Energy Shield to Mana". What exactly does that mean? Better tool tips on your skills GGG please.

Does this mean if you had a 200es and 500mana you now have:
0es and 700mana?
700mana that also gets eaten as ES?

Help a dummy out please.

It does exactly what it says, all of your ES is mana instead. So in your example, you'd have 0 ES and 700 mana.

If you have 500 mana and 200 ES, you'd then have 700 mana ( without taking into account % mana mods ). Damage is not taken from your mana, it acts like mana.

from:
500es, 200 mana
to:
0es, 700mana
Along with the advantage of getting higher manaregen/second too.

Next time you have a question about keytones in the passive skill tree, please have in mind that most of them come with an advantage and a disadvantage and Eldrith Battery is none different.

WHen you use EB, all your passives that would increase your Energy Shield don't go into waste but incease your mana instead.

I hardly think this type of snark is necessary. it was a legitimate question. One short sentence to describe such a potentially complex skill is not enough in my opinion.

So when using EB, when you take damage, it will be subtracted directly from your HP first? Seems like you would need a TON of HP to make this viable.
