LoL you are such blind shill...leagues are beta test yes that can be true if standard was an option. But it is not an option. Standard is garbage collector league, where you can't trade properly because 90% pll will ignore you or wisp "sry will not relog"
Also how it possible to manage that clusterfuck of standard inventory, where you empty stashes after relog becomes full of junk from old remove only tabs.

I havent uninstalled but I have put the game down probabaly till at least next league. Each league this game gets more and more bloated. Seems like GGG is catering to people who play 8+ hours a day.
While I still have a lot of game time there's just too much s*** going on now.

How does someone progress delve deep enough to find the elusive bosses and citys to even be profitable. While struggling to maintain maps or progress through the atlas spamming Poisonous Trap incursion rooms. Getting 1 shot by betryal or just crashing in general to betryal.
I almost forgot after you do all this you have to place memories in a line while focusing on not decaying your bridge or getting land locked by "reward" tiles with very little to no reward. Oh and dont forget to beast craft while you have 2 quad tabs of synthesized rare garbage.

It kind of seems like a lot of stuff to do/maintain more of a job than a game imo. Most people i know totally skip most if not all of the league mechanics. Which is like playing standard war for the atlas.

Fingers crossed hopefully GGG learns and condenses the game or makes some huge QoL changes soon or hopefully by 3.7.

I wish this crappy forum would let me "like" a post... I don't type here often, but man, this post resonated with me. I'm not ready to quit yet, but after what, almost 5 years with this game.

The willful obsoleting of map stash tabs in Standard is the icing on the cake. For over a year now, the only adequate solution to that problem has been for players to pay for the map tab a second (or third) time. Many posters have complained that it is not ethical to require players to pay again for what they thought they had already paid for. I happen to agree.

This has been gnawing at me since I dropped the cash for a tab, only to find it invalidated the very next league.

It's interesting, I showed someone the game the other night when we got together.

I showed them my 3 most successful Characters, to give them an idea of how the game functions.


1.) Molten Strike Jugg.
2.) Frost Blade Scion
3.) Smite Assassin (my personal fav, as I *think* it's a completely home brewed build.

After showing him, his response was:

So.... You basically just choose a skill that allows you to attack as fast as possible, stack life, and AoE everything down, the only difference is the Effect of the skill you're using?


And that's when it hit me. PoE's decision to embrace the speed clear mentality has really reduced playing the game to choosing a model of character that you like, and choosing animation effects that you like, and then blowing through things as absolutely fast as possible.

The days of needing to be methodical and planning on how to kill something are long gone. I remember when Atziri was first downed, and the waiting with baited breath until the first guy would release his kill video, because he didn't want to sully the competition.

When you watch the first kill video, that was an execution of skill. I'll be honest, I couldn't have done it with his gear.

When I came back to the game, and Killed Atziri for the first time, I took a couple of Flameblasts, and shook them off, purely because I had the HP to weather the storm with the flask popped. When you're smashing something for 175K Pure Cold DPS, with 50% Cold Res Pen, I chewed through her phases (and thank to my ascendency), blew up the mirror holding Atziri every time.

I have a Shrapnel Arrow Ranger that I just took through it's first Temple. I never understood what people meant by truly off screening, until I used that. The only problems I ran into, was when I got overconfident, and didn't use the other button, the movement skill.

Coupled with the other problems that are currently facing PoE, I'm not sure that I'll be back a full year before I walk away again.

Also, Mario Kart has been almost universally loved by gamers around the world ever since the early 90s and its glorious Mode-7 debut on the SNES. You sully its grand legacy with that pisspoor comparison. :P

As for PoE, I just play slow as a turtle...oh there's a white item, better pick it up...loot filter what's that? GGG wouldn't know.

By the time I hit end-game in a league it has likely migrated to standard...so seamless...therefore, time is....irrelevant.
