Atlas reset again..

PSA: Run a t16 map of the old series to recomplete your atlas. New series maps won’t work (only that map will be completed). Learned this the hard way after several wtf exclamations.

Very important to note is that the t16 or t15 you run for that to happen must be rare AND vaaled.
In betrayal and now in synthesis nothing happened until I killed the boss of a rare+vaaled map (that was also completed in the previous league).
When I did it that way it retroactively gave me my entire previous completion, incl. all the bonus points.

no they didnt. They forced a reset on standard players, which noone ever asked for. Nor did we got any information on any patch notes.
Reshaping a whole atlas every 3 months and throw away alot of currency in maps in the trash bin is not a good job in my eyes.

Its just lazy programming.

For fuck's sake, it is not rocket science...

I'm pretty sure they do this because they either don't care about Standard players or are too lazy or uncreative to find a solution that won't spawn dozens of threads every league reset. Until they do, I'd suggest not spending one cent on this game. The only way to get their attention seems to be through their bank account.

I came here hoping there would be a trick to this, but seems like there is not. With the last reset I was like, fine, it's been a long time, so this once I'm ok with it. But if this is now to be happeninig every 3 months, then this game might die for me, and I really hope this is not the case!

The reason I play in Standard is because I don't have time to no-life this game and still want to make progress. If I had the time to no-life the game, I'd be playing the newest leagues all the time. So far I've spent all my gaming time since the last reset trying to get back to where I was before the current league begun. I'm nearly there in one way, but at the same time I'm out of maps so I have to start all over again building maps from the bottom. That will probably take me so long to do, to grind me back up to early red maps, that by the time I'm there again, new league hits and Atlas maps change again basically putting us in limbo unable to get anywhere.

I just want to get to Shaper and red Elder you know... some day, then possibly beyond.

What are we supposed to do now?

Despite myself I got to maps in this league, imagine my surprise when I saw there was a new map set.

Now personally I don't care that much about standard, yet I spent probably 2 hours clicking and transforming all of my betrayal maps into higher tier maps. Just so that my standard stash is orderly. I seem to have missed Ancient City, of which I still had 5 copies. I turned 3 of those in now, and imagine my even greater surprise when they turned into the new map set.

While this is a great change, it feels like a slap to the face to have 0 knowledge of this change prior to the new league. All I needed to do was wait 2 days and I would not have even cared that there is a new set of maps.

How such changes are not communicated to the player is just mind-boggling to me.

Or don't keep that amount of maps and it will be bearable to transform all maps in new ones. I keep at most 3 of each maps completed per tier and only have one map stash tab and doing fine in less than 30 minutes.

I don't see any greed there and i kept 9 maps of each shape since 1.0 in a separate stash.
