Is it worth using a 5-link searing touch to replace the 2 3-link weapon/shield? I'm playing ssf so there is low chance of me finding another usable unique, or 6-linking it...

"Hey superdreddie, This build can easily have 2 5 links if you like. Typically having 2 5/6 links would mean getting less life from gear but more damage. So, if you already have the gear, play around with it and see what feels best. If you don't have the gear yet, remember that you the Holy Flame Totem and the Searing Touch will cancel the other out (you can only have one active at a time) unless you have the ability (from gear or the tree) to have more than one totem out at a time. After you beat the story, Lani sells 1 Orb of Fusing for 4 Jewellers Orbs. You can repeat this transaction infinitely. So if you're picking up all your 6 socket drops, once you have 600 Jewellers, you can 5 link anything you want. I really like Searing Touch and it'd synergize well with this build. But it'd take a specific playstyle to be effective. See if it works for you. Does that answer your question? I'm terribly sorry!! All the totem gems meant the totem gem and all the support gems. English is not my native lang. I need to brush it up more.
That unique staff is not a magical item and i just tried to use a piece of armor that sleeps in my stash... Not really awesome. Was my concept of build. Hey man!
I really like your build and the fact that it's really nice to play and even with crap gear. It is not as fast in killing as others, but that's fine for me. I play poe to relax - and this is the perfect build for my playstyle. I was lucky to get my hands on a pretty nice Watcher's Eye with "+20% dmg while affected by Malevolence" - that gave me a huuuuge boost and for the first time i hit lvl 90 :) So thank you very much! The build definitely seems to suit you if you got to 90 for the time while using a skill that's constantly eating 90% your health. Great job! The damage improves with fantastic weapons/mods (obviously). You could honestly add any other RF's item suggestions and this build would do the same damage as other high damage builds, but I like to see what drops. So I let others make their choices for drop/buy preferences. I'm like you, the more relaxing PoE is, the more fun it is. That's an insane Watcher's Eye! Once you have an item like that, it's hard to not use it hey? But thanks for taking the time to be thankful! This guide/build had a total revamp because of the 3.6 changes to spells. So this will be a nice expansion for me to only need to tweak my guides, not rewrite them. If you have any suggestions for the guide or build, let me know. "Hey ainaraja, Thank you very much! I'm glad you like it! Let me know if you have any suggestions. I currently have three guides. Every league I re-post each guide. So I will have 3.7 versions of all my guides. I re-post a new thread so that all the replies have relevant questions and answers (for the few who go through them). I find it annoying to read through posts and be unsure if the conversations are about relevant game mechanics or if the items and mechanics have changed since whatever post. So I just like to keep it fresh and relevant. I have a Caustic Arrow character that is really strong. I haven't put too much time into it, and all it's gear is crap. Back in 3.5 I was going to push hard on seeing if it was guide worthy but then GGG revamped all the Spells for 3.6, so all my time I have for guides went into correcting and fixing my spell guides. Then with the outcry the melee players had about the 3.6 news, GGG informed everyone before 3.6 that 3.7 was going to have a melee revamp. Sooooo...I haven't touched any characters I have that use Attacks, including my bow character, since 3.5. I've been waiting to see what the changes would be as I'd likely have to re-do everything once 3.7 came out anyway. GGG doesn't release ACTUAL passive tree Json's until around 3 days before a new league. As I already have 3 guides to put time into (and the beginning of the league is always really busy with replies cause that's when most people play), 3 days isn't enough time to make a NEW guide and play PoE too. But I do want to have a guide for Caustic Arrow. They'd be very fast, dodge lots, and other super great fun things :). I'll likely play the build for 3.7 on PC with some friends, see if it's worthy of a guide, then I'll have a Caustic Arrow guide ready for 3.8...hopefully. That was pointlessly long. Sorry.
