I don't agree with the premise that Uber Elder is a dps check.
You need a certain level of dps which will make certain mechanics of the fight negligible. That is true, but that is true for any type of encounter in PoE (i don't recall any fight where ALL mechanics are fixed regardless of the dmg you do to the target). Or if you can't do dmg, you just follow the mechanics correctly - there are people who killed UElder with Flame Dash ffs. I would not call Uber Elder an easy fight, but considering behind what the encounter is positioned, it is not exceptionally hard after dealing with Guardians or Shaper. And yes, if you play build with Multistrike and keep dying to Shaper balls because you get locked in place and are unable to dodge manually, shame on you (and shame on me, did that :D I represent only myself, my own thought and believes. I am individual, not a representative of the community.
I am not speaking on behalf of someone else and I don't get offended by things that have nothing to do with me. 3.13 was the golden age. |

That s what Poe has all been about for past 3 years. Your defences is your damage, the faster you kill the less of the mechanic dodging you need to do. That s why I hate power creep and I think it absolutely ruins the game and it’s structure. Everything that was somewhen designed considered to be challenging now is a piece of cake with the damage we have. They can give you as many invulnerability phases as they want but they can’t hide the silly game Poe has become

uber elder fight is a damage race along with a survival one.
If you have insane dmg , well the fight is easy - but you don't learn the fight if you always go this path. If you have high sustain and mobility, you will learn this fight pretty easily. Essentially you need to manage fourthings. 1) who is not invulnerable 2) are you being chased by a bunch of orbs - yes ok go to a corner and pop them. 3) count shaper ball spam , he always does it a set number of times and it goes to where you were when he started casting. 4) attack for 1 sec, move few steps. (to avoid shaper balls) once you get in the rhythm of the fight it is pretty easy. aside , bring a cold resistance flask and swap to the minor god to reduce cold damage. |

" all encounters ,that spawn "deadly/high dmg" areas that dont despawn/despawn fast enough to not stack up , are dps checks no matter what. there is always a point where you run out of space in these typ of foghts,even when you normaly dont reach that point with a mediocre dps. |

Let me just write to OP.
GIT GUD... That's it really... First uber elder of league is 15 minute fight. The arena is full of vortextes, it's sweat... But MBY 1 death... Just git gud... On betrayal, i had melee consecrated path champion, yeah i took a 15 minute break after the fight. But if you don't play coockie cutter build, that's the price to do THE TOUGHEST FIGHT IN THE GAME!
