[feedback] Uber Elder fight design has bad parts and promoting cancer playstyle

Each time i fight Uber Elder i have this impression. Fight design:
- where the main complexity is to keep track of 4+ targets at the same time (Elder, Shaper, madness propagator, vortex) [hint: humans are not designed to keep track of multiple targets at the same time];
- which contains almost unavoidable death (Elder's unavoidable 90%+ action speed slow (siphon) + Shaper's beam/balls/teleport slam = 90% unavoidable death);
- which has no recovery from previous stages (decay/votex remains forever and eventually makes fight impossible to win);
- which is literally bypassed with closed eyes by DPS meta cancer builds (who push Elder/Shaper into next stages in a few seconds effectively preventing them from use of their skills), but makes players who prefer to not mindlessly follow DPS meta feel themselves as shit (like i currently feel myself after 2 weeks of tries and 8 wasted fragment sets);

is bad design. Since 3.2 you fixed lags (which were source of 6/6 deaths) but this awful design keystones are remaining. The worst thing is you forced this fight as a challenge and now i have to level up cancer meta build only to be able to complete this challenge.

How to fix this fight:
1. Make vortex/decay disappear after each of 3 portal stages.
2. Siphon: Keep movement speed slow, remove action speed slow. The only thing which action speed slow makes is forcing Kaom roots while shitting on everyone who is not using it.

Literally the easiest boss in the fucking game LOL holy shit like some guy did it as UNEARTH if you can't beat this boss with the power creep we have now right now.

It is utterly shameful and I'm honest here as my elitist half on me like that fucking boss is a JOKE with the amount we've been given any build can do it basically unless you aren't very good end of story.

Uber elder is literally the only thing that should be hard so people like you shouldn't be able to do it so easily smh no it should be hard come forth my ''elitist'' jerk friends teach him some humility.

I don't care about meta. If 'Follow cancer meta powercreep' is the best thing people like you can say then better keep silent.

What I don't like about Uber elder is that it is a clear dps check, as if you do not have the dps required, Madness propagator will fuck your arena up and there is pretty much nothing that you can do about it.


I tried many times with Ice Storm last league in SSF and .... with shaper moving all the time + not being able to kill the madness propagators quickly enough, I could not go past the last phase because the arena was just completely saturated with squid poop.
I know, there is a guy who did it with IS, with 2k+ int ( I have only like 1100~1200 I think ), with pretty freaking strong corrupted implicits and using the CtF setup ( didn't want to use fire dmg on IS, wanted it to be a cold build, need to try with winter orb now though ).
Granted, if my aim was to kill uber elder SSF ( it wasn't really ), I should have picked a less gear dependant build for sure.


That's my big complaint about this fight : it's a complete dps check, and then after that, if you do not kill it so quickly that you skip most of the phases : it's a skill check.

( That fact that you can use Kaom's boot to cheeze the slow from the elder is also stupid imho ).

then you have a boring ass game in your hands which nobody wants to play.

i speak from my 100s of uber elder fights while you talk out of your a.. with no experience :D

do you have a job? or is your job and source of life meaning/pride playing game for 20hrs a day?


because POE is mostly about time expenditure and picking the build with most 'more' multipliers. Arc or other meta shi.. has the damage and multipliers

Sweep and many other crap skills dont. it is not about skill - it is all about numbers and TERRIBLE game balance. you pick meta shit - it is easy, you pick something else - nope, denied

people who play meta shit wont ever admit for rather obvious reasons

This is the first league I tried this fight (it always seemed a massive waste of time and currency). For 4 sets of shaper fragments, I got the bosses to 20% and from that point on the arena was a clusterfuck of degen ground that I can't outheal.

The fight was a massive disappointment to me; its not difficult at all. If the Elder insta-kill AOE would have a better indication on when it would actually hit, I don't think this boss would be any trouble at all for a mobile build. This AOE is the only reason degen can affect the middle of the arena...

You are playing dual Neboloch Molten strike Jugg and Arc traps Saboteur... so you create meta huh? Not really.

You are abusing cancer meta builds and think you are good player because of this. This is so funny.

Even a monkey can kill Uber Elder with dual Nebuloch Molten strike Jugg or other cancer meta. If you want to prove that you are as good player as you talk about yourself - then show video where you are killing Uber Elder with <200k Shaper DPS non-meta build on SSF. Otherwise any messages from cancer meta abusers are considered as a spam.

Btw: i created dual Nebuloch Molten strike Jugg in 3.2 league specifically for brand new Uber Elder boss and easily killed him (while there were no guides nor video at that moment). Hope you enjoy following meta created by me.
