Why is this still a thing? Why are we able to craft such crazy level 0 gear? The fact that powercreep trivialize high level mapping is a thing but why is it even possible to shit on the story arc that way?

ARPG is about players slowing transforming into gods after x levels of grind not being born with a cheat code at level 0.

Yea... Because this chest is widely available for everybody.
Not that getting one of these requires knowledge, a lot of currency and a little bit of luck.

Leveling’s pretty much trivialized with a tabula already. Personally i think trading for expensive OP items only helpful for leveling is a big waste of currency, but I guess that’s because I’m not rich and measuring my profits-per hour in such a way that reducing leveling time by any means necessary is a priority...

But to the main topic of this thread, I’m salty ahead of time for 3.8 knowing it’ll dump massive powercreep while simultaneously deleting a suite of older builds. 3.7 was absurd in that regard: gut Occultist (who needed a nerf, but still) and gut multistrike, but then give us world-destroying cyclone. Every “choice” is predetermined in advance, as the game’s difficulty varies drastically depending on which choices you make (including seemingly logical ones).

Leveling up to maps IS already quite a joke on a fresh start with many skills, before factoring those insane lvl0 requirement rares ...

The power creep is getting out of control and it is causing things to be phased out of both the off-meta/meta and the game entirely, i truly fear for this games ability to stay as relevant as it has for so many years for myself and others if this is left to continue in the same direction.
