Alt f4 being instant log out

I've heard streamers now cosntantly say that alt f4 is instant, I just alt f4'd in sewers getting the figurine with full hp overleveled and ~3k hp (cruel), logged back in and i was in default. I must have been still standing there like 5 seconds to have died. Last time I am alt f4'ing.

Why would you try out something you were unsure of, especially something that could get you killed, on your HC character? Why not just roll up a new character and test it on that first?

Actually, the streamers say that the only instant quit is going back to the log in screen. Kripp explicitly said that Alt F4 is not instant and will get you killed.

Actually stop arguing with dated information. It's supposed to be instant right now already for a while according to most of the players who actually play it. I also recall master Kripp saying sometime this week to use window mode for instant dc when alt f4'ing. But the issue probably is that if your computer doesn't instantly shut down the client (mine sits there frozen for like 5 secs), it doesn't actually dc you instantly.

Yes, don't you no nuttin' son. Listen to krapp, uh, I mean kripp, he lives in his mommy's basement and has no life so he knows a few things....

Escape quit is instant. Done it myself couple times with like 5HP - survived every time. Once - i believe - i even heard a fracture of the deathscream before quitting ;D

they say that to troll people.. alt-f4 is not instant... its not a instant disconnect.

ESC - logoff to loading screen is instant
