Delve - % res helmets are the new Elemental Hit but probably even more broken

You do know that you can get something like -100% to enemy effective resistances currently with minimal investment, right? And negative resistances is one of the few mods that scale worse the more of it you have. In the grand scheme of things 15% is nothing.

Inquisitor's 16% increased damage taken is a much more powerful modifier, and doesn't require a potentially extremely rare modifier on a gear piece.

Best meme is that melee stat stick users like Reave also get easy access to it and it's completely worth it. This isn't a mod dedicated to some specific character or skill, it's a complete no brainer for anyone who uses elemental damage, doesn't matter if spells or attacks.

Oh my bad! My PoB was giving me weird numbers on pen but it seems like they even work together quite well which makes it even more OP.



they make it less OP...

each additional point of -res or penetration is less effective at amplifying dps than the last, the more you stack of it the less you're getting out of continued investment, just like with any 'increased' modifier.

I know that it's effectiveness decreases but it's super easy to achieve now.

I hope that they will make it extremely rare but you probably know yourself as well that it won't be the case. Elemental Hit & Stat sticks already happened, I spammed everywhere back then as well that they're broken, no use.

Not sure what that 16% increased damage has anything to do here. Yeah, pretty cool node!

The point is that it's universally available for everyone with little to no cost. Everyone is basically running around with Vaal Purity of Whatever they want permanently and other helmets / unique helmets are trash.

It's not broken, just strong. I don't see why all the fuss.

Good example of broken are tombfist and bubonic trail which are bis for a shitload of builds.

Tombfists are less damage for an average build than this mod alone. Not to mention with Tombfists / Bubonics you have the drawback of losing sockets / have to buy expensive jewels / expensive price etc. This is a rare helmet.

It's not like there are a lot of unique helmets that are important for builds, mostly it's just Starkonjas because it gives SOME damage and has T1 life or Lightpoacher. This is a lot better with only 2 mods for both of these helmets users. A completely maxxed out Lightpoacher with mirror tier abyss jewels competes in damage.

Tombfist tend to be more damage than what this helm would provide. The intimidate alone is 10% more attack damage and the dual jewels on top of up to 6 ias will absolutely sweep anything else for the slot.

It's also not limited to just the single element.

Unique helms are just not very good outside of gimpy abyssus.

They changed intimidate to increased and it's limited to attacks only tho. Also you lose sockets and possible resistances and whatever else you'd want + hefty price tag. -15 resistances is for everything everywhere and you're on 4 sockets with most likely 0 cost.
