You are right. This is not the best build for uber elder. It's just how the fight works and how close you have to be to hit with BV. All the degen ground effects nibbling at your mana if you have MoM don't help either. Sure you can burst through the stages but then there are the immunity phases. Unfortunately OP has not provided many options for the fight, most likely because it wasn't in the game when the build started out.

That being said this build has so much damage you can easily give up half of it, still plow through everything and have great defenses. Some options are:

- Get Paragon of Calamity instead of Beacon of Ruin
- Get even more life on tree (Purity of Flesh, more jewel sockets)
- Get Phase Acrobatics
- Get a defensive Watcher's Eye (in combination with an aura)
- Get rid of MoM if you have to (degen effects)
- Use Loreweave instead of Inpulsa
- Use a Helmet with the Redblade mod (damage taken as fire)
- Use a Shield (lots of options here)
- Use Kaom's Roots
- Use an Elder Belt (inc recovery rate, %-max life)
- Use defensive flasks (Basalt, Stibnite, Aquamarine)
- Run a defensive aura (Purities, Vitality)
- Run Vaal Grace (duration is longer than soul gain prevention)
- Run Arctic Armour
- Run a Decoy Totem (supported so it survives longer)

I am sure I forgot something and you wont fit all of it into one build but you get the gist of it. There is so much room in the build to make you tanky enough to get through the fight. Sure it is still a hard fight, given the mechanics the build uses and what gets thrown at you, but it is doable for sure.

It's really not that big of a deal, that the build as in the guide can't really handle this encounter. I just thought i'll let others know.
But all your points are valid and i second that.

Hi im leaving my feedback... Atziri's have 2% elemental reflect from pasive + curse reflect (= no warlord mark no leech) its really a pain for me and "Soul of Yugul" is not too much help... Another point is the Shaper, he cannot be shocked, then become inpulsa's heart unless. Are you using another body armour to shaper fight?

I used three jewels with resistance rolls until I could afford gear with more resistances (still using one with lightning resistance to balance The Wise Oak). Your belt is probably the cheapest to upgrade, you can get a Stygian Vise with 90 life and 90+ total res for around 1ex: http://poe.trade/search/retazaritohaya
