Multiboxing is not illegal, and is done in many games. In Guild Wars 1, people used to multi on two accounts to gain access to 7 hero parties before they released the 8 hero update. In DDO, solo players use multi boxing to bring a second character that can cast buffs and raise them if they die. There aren't any games that ban this practice because its no different to simply playing with someone else.
