POE Multiboxing 434% IR - Doing it by the rules - [Stream]
" You do realize that all these multiboxers are "innocent" of any wrong act against the game? They are playing according to the rules, it is completely the devs design and in a sense "fault". This message was delivered by GGG defence force.

I've mentioned this in my stream multiple times as well, but doing what I do, with an organized group of 4, actually maximizes the potential and earns substantially more than what I'm making. Even with a split it works out to about 10 to 20 more chaos per hour than solo. Problem is the majority of players in this game don't trust the players they're playing with nearly enough for it to work :-) Having multiple accounts for some reason is what so many people want to focus on and it really shouldn't be. It's not broken.

Every single game that has ever been made will have vulnerabilities and exploits, multi box, dupes, loopholes.
I'd like to see something done about this as I don't think it promotes healthy gameplay and a stable market, but that's entirely GGGs prerogative and no fault to the abusers for taking advantage of the situation. You don't see a $20 on the ground and walk by it because its not yours |

Developers of many games very often accept multiaccounting simply, because it increases their number of players.
If 1 guy plays on 6 accounts, it's like 6 players in the statistics. They can say to the world "look, how huge number of players we have". If it's p2p game (like Dofus, which I mentioned before), they can also make much higher profit from multiaccounters than "normal" players. Or they just say to themselves "hey, players are happy to do it, why should we change that?" However, those are short-term adventages of multiaccounting. In longer time, it slowly but surely kills the game. I hope, GGG is smarter than that. Dernière édition par orzewoi#6957, le 28 févr. 2013 à 14:52:49

" Sounds like that guy who tried robbing this house, fell through the roof, and sued them because they had a hazardous roof. He was the innocent person, right? |

" The difference is that multiboxing is not illegal and therefore it is nothing like trying to rob someone. As long as they don't break against the rules, they are innocent to rule-breaking, This is more like a person focusing on studying very hard for just acing a test, instead of studying for the sake of learning. They are not to blame, the system is and therefore the school is responsible for promoting people to behave in that manner. This message was delivered by GGG defence force.

" While I don't mind multiboxing - I do think the recipe needs removed. Either that or make the all unidentify worth 1 chaos instead of two and reward something different if they are identified. I am also 100% hoping they introduce /monsterlevel. |

So you want the recipe removed because its bad for the economy. But you want a /player x?
Do you fail to see the flaw in your logic? |

It's funny whenever a new game's community discovers what multiboxing is and starts raging/crying/whining like it had never been doing it before as they discover that 6 characters playing together has more potential than someone solo (Chris could annonce that they'll sell GCP 1$ each in the cash shop that it would almost go unnoticed at the moment)
The amount of hate the OP got is really unwarranted and this thread also has some of the most retarded "ideas" ever seen on a game's forum :( IGN: EthInvictus

" I think it's very warranted. In so many ways. For someone not to see the reasons why it's destructive is pretty ignorant. I've also known what multiboxing is for over a decade. It doesn't make it cool, and shouldn't make it any more acceptable because people have been doing it forever. I would have hoped the devs would have made this game a little harder for that to be a viable option. Hopefully they still will. Those that would cry against it can leave, why should those of us that play that game as it is be cheated? The cheaters will eventually get bored of what they are doing and move on, leaving the game destroyed and on to the next thing to destroy. They don't care about the game, just their ego. And as you've brought nothing to the table, and seem to think there's nothing wrong with it, i'd say your non existent ideas or options to stop it are retarded. Go play monopoly with 5 year olds, or maybe you would need an advantage over them there as well- maybe tuck some bills under your sleeve.
